Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

it was a great fit and it looks of good quality, one thing to note is that it has a third hole and screw and it requires some drilling. for additional towing strength. it will require some tinkering if you install that third bolt, with only two bolts on each side it becomes the same as other towing bars on the market.

Gee, this trailer hitch receiver has been exactly the ticket I’ve needed! The fit, the available use and the pricing has been essential to my business! I’d be out of touch without it! Thanks

2005 Toyota Sienna

I have purchased three items from etrailer, a hitch for a 2005 Volkswagen Touareg, a cargo carrier for that vehicle, and recently a hitch for a 1998 Toyota Sienna. Very pleased with both hitches and the carrier. The hitches are very well constructed and have been very pleased with how well the hitches fit the vehicles and how quickly I have been able to install them. Also great service on shipping...fast shipping and the price for shipping is right.........free!
If you need a hitch.........etrailer is THE place to go!

by:

So easy to install, exactly as instructions showed. Wiring for lights was precisely as shown On One Page!
Super easy. I cannot recommend etrailer enough!

2010 Toyota Sienna

The hitch arrived quickly and fit my '02 Sienna's frame rails well. There was zero clearance with the rear exhaust hanger--I smacked the hanger with a small sledgehammer to free up the extra 1/16th inch of room needed. The hitch's welds look stout and the metal is beefy. There are painted-over weld spatters, which is fine by me. Drilling the two new 1/2" holes was a minor hassle with old, dull bits--I'd recommend using a new, high-quality bit. (etrailer has one for $8--I'm sure that would be fine; no idea how the price compares to elsewhere.) Enlarging the access holes was also a learning process--the Sienna has two layers of sheetmetal there. A dremel tool would work with the right bit. I ended up using a reciprocating saw with a standard multi-use blade--a metal blade is too tall to easily fit in the existing hole. The resulting hole was not pretty, but it worked. The $2 "fish wire" from etrailer was essential--don't forget to order one, or come up with an alternate plan for threading the bolt and backing plate through the frame rail. I spent about an hour getting dialed in on the first side, and the second side took 5 or 10 minutes. etrailer has a "Curt" brand hitch for the Sienna that is slightly cheaper and doesn't require new holes. I chose this one instead because I wanted the weight on the hitch to be distributed over more of the van's frame. I'd still choose this one despite the hassle and ugly frame-rail holes, but I imagine the Curt model is fine for a lot of purposes.

Excellent hitch and excellent customer service. Hitch was delayed by manufacturer and instantly heard from etrailer with information about alternative product if I chose not to wait. Glad I waited. Excellent product and informative installation instructions made this a smooth and easy self installation. Very happy with this company and will certainly order from them again.

My initial order was out of stock and Adam called me to let me know and offer an alternative. Additionally he offered to send it 2 day delivery. I received the trailer hitch and mounted it on the car today. Fits perfectly.

Product was a direct replacement of what is on the vehicle

The site was easy to use and shipment was on time as expected.

I use etrailer.com for all my trailerling needs.

Rebuilt a 1997 jet ski trailer this year also!

Thx

It's looks good.and strong.Have some difficult time to pull nut out off the new hole. Use the electrical tape to tape down the string about 1/2 inch longer than a nut so it will guide the string to the bottom tip of nut. Im glad it works and all done. Thank you Janice you are a nice sale's lady.

by:

the product is great .. i will install..later this day..i will order some from you guys ..the package delivery is one day ahead time that i expected..ill try to order bike rack soon..

  • Will The Draw Tite # 75120 Clear Spare Tire On 2003 Toyota Sienna
Yes, you will be able to access the spare tire with the Draw-Tite # 75120, on your 2003 Toyota Sienna. I contacted our representative at Draw Tite, and he informed me that they have not had any issues with part # 75120, fitting the 2003 Toyota Sienna or clearing the spare tire. He informed me that you may want to lower the spare tire to provide easier access when installing the hitch and then raise it back into place. You should not have any issues with part # 75120 clearing the spare...

  • Is Draw-Tite Class III Hitch 75120 for Toyota Sienna Compatible With Other Vehicles
That's easy! Draw-Tite Class III trailer hitch receiver # 75120 will fit the Toyota Sienna only, but fits all model years from 1998 through 2003. It will not fit other vehicles. Some hitches will fit more than one vehicle, since for example there could be a GMC and Chevrolet version both of which are compatible because they use the same frame, but in terms of a random fit on another car, not so. Hitches are designed for specific vehicles' frame attachment points and cannot be modified...

We haven't had a chance to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75120 on a 1998 Toyota Sienna so I can't provide an exact hitch pin hole to bumper dimension but I did go out to our warehouse to take a measurement on the hitch that will help you determine where the receiver will sit on your van. • Is it Required to Use all 6 Bolts to Install the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75120
It sounds like you have the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75120 for your 2003 Toyota Sienna. I can only recommend that you install this hitch per the manufacturer recommendations by using all 6 of the installation points. Otherwise the warranty would be voided. If you need trailer wiring you would want the Hopkins Harness part # 43475. For a ball mount, hitch ball, and pin and clip, I would recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, part # EBMK4. I checked an online copy of the owner's manual for the 2000 Toyota Sienna. It does not specifically say anything about flat towing the vehicle but it does say that if the vehicle has to be towed then the front wheels need to be off the ground or damage to the transmission can occur. For this you would use a tow dolly and not a flat tow set up. For a tow dolly we have # RM-2050-1. there are also some rental places that can rent a tow dolly.
