Is Draw-Tite Class III Hitch 75120 for Toyota Sienna Compatible With Other Vehicles

Question:

Im thinking of buying a model # 75120 Class 3 Trailer Hitch for my 2000 Toyota Sienna. Is there any way of finding out what other vehicles this hitch may be compatible with? One of these days Im going to trade it in for another vehicle, but it may be a while.

That's easy! Draw-Tite Class III trailer hitch receiver # 75120 will fit the Toyota Sienna only, but fits all model years from 1998 through 2003. It will not fit other vehicles.

Some hitches will fit more than one vehicle, since for example there could be a GMC and Chevrolet version both of which are compatible because they use the same frame, but in terms of a random fit on another car, not so. Hitches are designed for specific vehicles' frame attachment points and cannot be modified to fit another for which they were not designed.

Any non-approved hitch installation would void the warranty on the hitch, could be bad for your vehicle and could expose you to liability concerns in the event the hitch failed in this non-standard application. Also, a hitch installed on a car for which it was not intended would not likely be able to deliver its full rated tongue weight and towing capacity.
