Bumper Clearance with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on 1998 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Hello. I am trying to determine measurement of the PIN HOLE CENTERLINE to rear bumper edge, because with my current OLDER Hidden Hitch, the receiver opening sits quite a bit back from the bumper edge, and I want to install a 6inch Rise Adapter and the current risers will not clear the rear bumpers outer edge. So I need a hitch whos receiver sits as close to flush with this bumper edge, and none of your current customers pictures really show me this, and measuring from the C/L of the Draw-Tite pin hole would be the best way to compare to my current hitch. Thanks in advance!

We haven't had a chance to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75120 on a 1998 Toyota Sienna so I can't provide an exact hitch pin hole to bumper dimension but I did go out to our warehouse to take a measurement on the hitch that will help you determine where the receiver will sit on your van.

On the Draw-Tite # 75120 I measured a distance of right around 6 inches from the front bolt hole on the mounting brackets to the center of the hitch pin hole. What you can do is take this measurement out from the existing weld nut on the Sienna's frame (where that bolt hole will line up) to see where the hitch pin hole will sit in relation to the rear bumper. I have attached an image to assist.

I also went and looked at the Curt # C13511 which fits your Sienna as well and found this measurement to be nearly identical.

Just for reference when we installed the Curt # C13511 on the 2000 Sienna, which falls within the same generation as your 1998 model, we measured a distance of 3-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the rear bumper. Because of their similar designs this dimension would be about the same on the Draw-Tite Hitch as well.
