High Capacity Class V Hitch Recommended for 2019 Chevy Silverado Chassis/Cab w/ Service Body

Question:

I have a 2019 silverado 3500 single rear wheel, diesel 4wd with crew cab long bed and a READING service body. I was wondering if there is a stronger trailer hitch than the OEM? I was looking at the oem, and there are only 3 bolts on each side of the frame. I dont have any issues but Id like to prevent them before they happen. I tow a 14k big tex dump trailer often.

You'll need a hitch for a cab/chassis truck, because they use a narrower frame spread (34 inches outside to outside) than the 3500 pickup.

The Curt Class V hitch, part # C15800 is the highest rated hitch we offer for your truck, and would work well with a 14K GVWR dump trailer. The hitch has a 20,000 lb towing/2700 lb tongue weight capacity, with or without weight distribution.

There is one quick measurement you'll need to take to confirm fit. You'll need to measure down from the underside of the frame member to the lowest point of the back bumper. If this distance is LESS than 6-1/4 inches, the receiver tube of the # C15800 will clear the bumper and the hitch will fit perfectly.

I'll link to an installation video, drilling will be required to install the hitch.
