High Capacity Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Chevy Suburban

Question:

I have a 2004 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1 and 4.10s using a Draw-Tite 10000/1000 weight dist hitch. That said Im looking for a replacement trailer hitch system for the rig. Ive been looking at the Curt C15324 and was wondering about Curt vs Reese vs Draw-Tite. How do they compare?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Curt, Reese and Draw Tite are all great hitches, so it often comes down to preferences. For some vehicles it may make more sense to go with one brand over the other based on design, but for your 2004 Chevy Suburban 2500 the Curt Hitch part # C15324 would make the most sense as it is a very high capacity hitch a great price. The Draw-Tite # DT45515 has a 2-1/2 inch opening, so it has different attachment availability, but with a lower tongue weight and GTW.

The Reese part # 45013 unfortunately has been discontinued. Either hitch would have more capacity than you would need though.
