Hitch and Weight Distribution for a 2006 Chevy Suburban
Question:
I have heard of some people using your wd hitch for the newer, body mounted factory hitches. They are the weakest link of the tow package in this era of 2500 burbs. Please inform. Thanks.

You will need to check the sticker on the factory hitch of your 2006 Chevy Suburban to see if there is a weight distribution rating to determine if you can use a system like the part # PS49583 that you referenced.
If you happen to be looking for a replacement hitch for your vehicle that has a high capacity you would want the Curt Hitch part # C15324 as this is a Class V hitch with plenty of capacity that has been confirmed to fit your vehicle. Here are the capacities:
Maximum gross trailer weight: 16,000 lbs
Maximum GTW when used with weight distribution: 17,000 lbs
Maximum tongue weight: 2,400 lbs
Maximum TW when used with weight distribution: 2,400 lbs
