Blue Ox has a pretty cool kit for us. It's gonna be a lock for not only your stuff for your two inch hitch receiver, but also for your trailer couplers. It's gonna be made of steel, so it's not gonna rust away over time, and we're gonna get some keys with our kit. So they are gonna be key to like, we get two different sets. Let's start with the hitch lock. So if anybody comes up to this and wants to steal my step, they can easily do it just because of the standard hitch, but there's no locks or anything like that.

So what we do with this, we'll take it, we'll unlock this just like that, and then we can either put it in either way. The diameter's gonna be 5/8 of an inch, which is plenty for your standard two inch hitch receiver. So once we put it on there and rotate around we have this little cover to go over it just so no grit or water moisture builds up on the inside of our lock, so it is going to be protected from the elements. So that's the easiest thing that you can do to make sure that your stuff that's in your hitch is gonna stay there. So let's move over to the coupler.

So we decided to use the Demco Easy Lock Coupler because it is relatively thick. So this is gonna have a decent amount of adjustments. So at its largest point right here, at its farthest point, it's gonna give us a span of three and a half inches. It'll go to two and a half inches and also 7/8 inches. The diameter is gonna be a quarter of an inch, so we tested it out on a lot of different couplers.

This one's gonna be pretty easy. You just sip it through like this, and the nice thing about this is we just go as far as we can to find the notch that's gonna fit for our specific coupler. And once we do that we can lock it into place, and we're pretty much done once we get it. Sometimes you kinda have to mess with it a little bit to make sure that we get it on the specific part that we need. But once that's done the key comes out, and you can put this safe place.

It's not a whole lot to these products. It's just very smart to lock up your trailer so no one can hook up to it and take it, but also to lock your ball mount because everybody has a two inch hitch. Almost everybody does. So they could utilize this. So it's just giving me peace of mind so my stuff doesn't run off.
