Multiple Stacked Receivers for Easy Adjustment

stacked receivers

This unique mount from Gen-Y Hitch includes a ball mount that can be easily positioned in one of the 5 stacked receivers that sits along the vertical shank of the unit. This dual-ball mount lets you tow a trailer with a 2" ball coupler or a 2-5/16" ball coupler.

pintle hitch

Also included is a pintle lock, which can be inserted into the receiver directly above the ball mount to create a pintle hitch for hooking up a trailer with a lunette ring. Unlike other adjustable pintle hooks on the market, there are no nuts and bolts to remove and retorque when you change the positioning of this hitch. Just move the ball mount and pintle lock up or down to get the proper height and secure them in place with the included pins.

With the 5 stacked receivers, not only do you have the ability to adjust the height of the included ball mount, but you also have the ability to add various other hitch-mounted accessories. Insert a bike rack or cargo carrier. Mount a spare tire carrier. Use a tow bar to flat tow your vehicle. Or just add a fun hitch cover.

The best hitch you can buy! I run these in my company trucks. Makes connecting to anything we have simple and easy. No searching for lost hitches or figuring out who is using what.

by:

I used adjustable ball mount to haul a tow dolly and also carry a hitch haul with wood. It worked great.

by:

Works very well for our situation. We now can use the same hitch for all of our trailers. Very heavy duty for pulling our biggest trailers and level every time no matter what load is on the trailer. We flip it over to pull our deck over trailers. If you have different height trailers you can't go wrong with this heavy duty hitch.

Still use this hitch everyday. Works very well.

Great hitch… super heavy duty and well made. More importantly, the etrailer team is awesome to deal with. I originally ordered a wrong hitch and those guys took care of my return and shipped the replacement overnight! Superb customer service!

by:

Should have bought one sooner. Now I can get rid of most of my other hitches.

by:

Great hitch with fast, free shipping. Customer service also followed up after the purchased and again after delivery.

by:

Very well built! Nice looking piece of equipment. Gives a good range for hauling different trailers and tow cars.

by:

Fast delivery.

by:

Works as intended and no issues with it at all.

by:

Order was delivered promptly and just what I had ordered.

I wanted to be able to tow any trailer with a single hitch and that is why I purchased this model. Any size ball and pintle hitch all in one implement is great.... the drawback, this thing weights a lot. I don't like leaving the hitch on the truck if I'm not towing, but this thing is too heavy to move and I'm worried about this much weight bending the toolbox on the truck if I hit a bump.

For measurement purposes... This is a 2000 F-350 4x4 on stock 16" rims and tires and a CM flatbed. I got the 5" drop\rise model and it looks like it is going to be great. In case i need it, I added the 1 7/8" ball to the drawbar. When I can afford to get three matched key pins I will order them.

by:

Overall the hitch is heavy duty and solid. I have ready some reviews about the Pintle option and have used mine for the first time towing an empty trailer. It is showing some wear behind the ball where the wedge is welded. I will try it with a load and see how it holds up.
i hate to give a negative review but for the money it should not have that excessive amount of wear with it’s first use.
I have a curt hitch with the Pintle and it has worked perfectly. I was looking for something that had a better curb appeal with the Gen Y.

by:

Just received my new hitch and my first impressions is that this is a very stout hitch. The hitch is very heavy, so I won’t be taking it off and on much. I’ll leave the stacked receiver on the truck, I had a locking pin to secure it to the truck. I will store the 2-ball mount in the cab for now until I get some locking pins. Don’t want to become a victim of theft! When I obtain the locking pins, I will leave the balls attached. If you want a very stout adjustable hitch, I definitely recommend this Gen-Y hitch. Can’t wait to test it out on the road!

by:

Best hitch on the market . I have them on 33 trucks

by:

best hitch I've owned. I have no doubt it will pull any of our equipment with no problem. odelelia was a big help and so nice when I ordered it a year ago.

by:

Heavy duty, strong and reliable. The black color on the ball scratched off fairly quickly, and the additional length of the hitch may keep some safety chains from reaching the vehicle. These are just things I noticed, but the quality of the hitch is tremendous.

by:

It’s heavy duty. I think it weighs as much as my equalizer hitch. I just got a new truck so we’ll see on a hitch height but on my old truck I wish I’d gotten the hitch with one height up so I had more adjustment and so it’s off hitting the ground. Oh well I tried guessing. I should of listened to the spirit. But a great heavy duty hitch.

by:

Very strong hitch

by:

This is a very functional and versatile hitch. Incidentally, the extended horizontal length allows me to drop my tailgate and not hit my trailer jack. The only theoretical downside is the increased torque on the receiver because of the horizontal extension inherent with the hitch design, as well as the massive weight. these issues do not seem to be functionally relevant however. Pintle may come in handy someday. I would buy again.

by:

We love these hitches so much we’re replacing all we have in the fleet with the Gen-Y. Etrailer’s customer service is the reason we don’t shop anywhere else.

by:

It's a great hitch. Fits our needs. Only negative thing I can say is the paint/coating rubbed off almost immediately after putting it to use so there's a rust ring around it where it meets the receiver.

by:

WOW. That is pretty much the word that sums it up. WOW. Not only because it weighs roughly 60 pounds, but she is pretty to look at to boot. Aside from that - the construction on this thing in a monster. Overbuilt by Hercules to pull down a mountain kind of over built. Exactly how we expect anything truck related to be. You do not want failure at any point, ever. This takes your drop hitch to a whole new level. I have owned B&W and Bulletproof before - and while there is nothing wrong with them - I do not think I will ever use another brand again. This is as good as they come.

See what our Experts say about this Gen-Y Hitch Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

  • Adjustable Ball Mount With 2", 2-5/16" Hitch Balls And Pintle Mount
I recommend the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-525 for your application. While the Blue Ox Adjustable Ball Mount # BLU45XR can be used in the rise position Blue Ox does not currently offer the components of this ball mount separately. The Gen-Y # 325-GH-525 gives you both a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball that can paired with the included pintle lock. It can also be positioned in a rise or drop position.

  • Solution for Adjustable Pintle Hook With 15" Rise
A 15" rise is not something that is typically seen on a standard ball mount or pintle hitch for a 2" receiver. The closest thing we have is the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-525. This includes their pintle lock which allows it to work as a pintle hitch. However, it only has a maximum rise of 10". There is a 15" version which is the # 325-GH-327 but it can only be used in the drop position due to the leverage that would be applied in the rise position for something...

  • Dual Hitch Solution for Tow Bar and Bike Rack with Rise for Tow Bar Hitch Opening
The best solution for needing a rise for the tow bar and then a hitch opening above that would be a Gen-Y solution like the part # 325-GH-525 like you mentioned which has several hitch openings that could all be in a rise position. This one has 5 stacked openings whereas the part # 325-GH-516 has 6 if you needed more.

  • Recommended Dual Ball Mount for a 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty with an 8 Fabtech Lift
When looking for a proper ball mount for towing you need to make sure it has the correct drop so that your trailer tows level. To choose the correct drop for your towing setup you need to measure from the ground to the top of the inside of your receiver and then from the ground to the bottom of your trailer coupler (be sure to take measurements on level ground). Since your hitch height will be greater you will need a ball mount with a drop. We do have the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10043B which...

  • Recommended Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Ball Mount with 10 Inches of Drop
It sounds like you need the Gen-Y Adjustable Receiver, part # 325-GH-525. This hitch receiver installs into your existing receiver and has 5 different positions providing different amounts of rise or drop, up to 10 inches. It also has a weight capacity up to 16,000 pounds.

We carry all sorts of fixed and adjustable ball mounts in various weight ratings for 1-1/4-inch, 2-inch, 2-1/2-inch and even 3-inch hitch receivers. I linked for you our main page for all types and sizes of ball mounts. I note that you looked at the B&W adjustable ball mount # BWTS10037B which fits a 2-inch hitch. This has the 5-1/2-inches of drop you want but it is rated for only 10K. For a capacity up near 15K we offer the 2-inch Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # 325-GH-525 which has two...

  • Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/Stacked Receiver And Hitch Mounted Bike Rack
It sounds like you're trying to mount a bike rack on your Gen-Y Ball Mount using a hitch adapter on the top receiver with enough clearance to not interfere with your trailer's jack. I'm not going to tell you that you can't do this (and Gen-Y says it's ok to do), but honestly, I think your best bet is returning the Gen-Y 5" Rise/Drop # 325-GH-214 that you just bought and going with one that can give you the rise you need without using a hitch adapter for your accessory. My concerns with...

  • Recommended Dual Hitch For Towing A 4K Trailer
I do have an option for you, but the Roadmaster dual hitch adapter # RM-077-4 should not be used for towing a trailer. This is intended for use when flat towing a vehicle only. Instead I recommend using the Gen-Y adjustable ball mount # 325-GH-314. This thing is rated for 10,000 lbs towing or 1,500 lbs tongue weight. So more than enough for your 4K trailer, and whatever other accessory you will be using the dual hitch for. This ball mount gives you four stacked 2" receivers so it will...

  • Recommended High Capacity Hitch and Dual Ball Mount for a 2003 Bluebird Bus
I have a solution for adding a heavy duty hitch to your 2003 Bluebird bus but there aren't any TorkLift SuperHitches that will work because they are all custom fit. You will need to go with a universal option and the one I recommend is the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets item # 15903. This is a class V hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 15,000 lbs towing capacity and a 1,500 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch must be welded on. There is no way to bolt it to your bus...

  • Recommended Front Mounted Hitch or Stacked Receiver for Carrier and Towing a Trailer Simultaneously
The etrailer Motorcycle Carrier - 2" Hitches # e98873 will not allow you to tow a boat behind the carrier as it does not have a receiver. There are a couple of options to give you the ability to transport both. The first option is to use a front mounted hitch for your motorcycle carrier to give you the separate receiver locations and not have to share the tongue weight of both on a single hitch which will have a tongue weight capacity that can't be exceeded. For a front mounted hitch,...
