Specs:
This unique mount from Gen-Y Hitch includes a ball mount that can be easily positioned in one of the 5 stacked receivers that sits along the vertical shank of the unit. This dual-ball mount lets you tow a trailer with a 2" ball coupler or a 2-5/16" ball coupler.
Also included is a pintle lock, which can be inserted into the receiver directly above the ball mount to create a pintle hitch for hooking up a trailer with a lunette ring. Unlike other adjustable pintle hooks on the market, there are no nuts and bolts to remove and retorque when you change the positioning of this hitch. Just move the ball mount and pintle lock up or down to get the proper height and secure them in place with the included pins.
With the 5 stacked receivers, not only do you have the ability to adjust the height of the included ball mount, but you also have the ability to add various other hitch-mounted accessories.

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Gen Y Adjustable Ball Mount with Stacked Receivers. This is also available in different rise and drops, creating a heavy mega duty ball mount for extreme towing situations. We'll talk about what it includes and what it can do here at etrailer. This is actually a very versatile ball mount with a lot of weight capacity, but also a very heavy ball mount so some people call this the one stop shop hitch ball mount and that's because it has stacked receivers so you can do a lot with this. It is designed for 2-1/2" hitch receivers though, that's what we have here on our Chevrolet Silverado. So this does fit right in, and allows us to carry those heavy trailers, but there are some things to keep in mind and consider for the different options that this Gen Y Adjustable Ball Mount has.
So we'll talk about the features, and we'll talk about the options, and that way you can get the best fit for you. The main feature here is that 32,000 pound weight capacity as well as the versatility. So the way this does that is, let's take out our pins, we do have 3/4" pins by the way. Having those larger pins allows us to have that greater capacity. But we also have this heavy two ball mount.
This is a solid ball mount, one piece with a 2-5/16" ball on top and a 2" ball on the bottom and the ability to add a 1-7/8" hitch ball in the middle. But that is sold separately. If you use a 2-5/16" inch ball, you're able to access that 32,000 pound weight capacity. If you're using the 2" hitch ball though, that capacity is limited to 16,000 pounds gross towing weight, and if you add that 1-7/8" ball in the middle, that only has a 6,000 pound weight capacity. You can transform your hitch into a pintle hitch, which is really helpful because compared to other adjustable ball mounts, this has its own stacked receivers.
So first you need to attach the pin to lock. You can store it in the closed position, which is what we will do now, because then you need that space to attach the lunette ring. So put it there, put the clips in, and then you get your ball mount. So whichever one has the ball appropriate for the lunette ring, pop that through, and then puts the pin and the clip through as well. This has a 2-1/2" shank which fits into your 2-1/2" stacked receivers.
We have a smaller version here, which has three stacked receivers. You can get more like four or five within the 32,000 pound range. Just remember that with more hitch receivers, that's more space this takes up, and also more weight to the already very hefty ball mount. You get two of these 3/4" diameters Gen Y hitch pins. These are stainless steel pins, and you also get clips for them. While the clips look like they might be different compared to your traditional pin and clip, these add a little bit of extra security 'cause you can twist them to make them more secure. You still have to apply pressure though to put them in the pin. You can put this into any of the 2-1/2" hitch receivers on your adjustable ball mount. You cannot use this with your own 2-1/2" hitch receiver, mainly because the size or where the hitch pin hole is is not standard, so it's more of a custom fit. So the depending on the rise and the drop that you need, you can put in the bottom, in the middle, or in the top. If you need more of a drop, you can flip this entire shank into the down position. If you wanna carry other items, you can take your ball mount off, which leaves this open which also takes up space, and you can even put other accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers in there. Just be mindful, again, 2-1/2" hitch receiver. Make sure that your accessory can fit into that. For installing this, it is a hefty ball mount and this is just the shank. So without your ball mount in there, we're just gonna fit this into the hitch receiver, push it in, and line up the hitch pin holes. This does not include a hitch pin for your hitch receiver. So there's these standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole and then there's the larger hitch pin hole. Depending on your 2-1/2" receiver, you may need one or the other. For our case here, we just need the 5/8" hole, and I have an extra pin that is from Gen Y. You can also use your own pin since one's not included. Now let's talk about measurements and our product page has some really good diagrams if you look at etrailer.com and you check out the ball mounts, those diagrams will help explain how much rise do you need, how much drop do you need, how do you measure for that to line up with your trailer coupler. For the length added to the back of your truck, you measure from the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, with the ball that's going to be 12" away, without the ball that's gonna be 9" of length. So if you do need that heavy duty weight capacity and if your hitch is capable of utilizing that heavy duty weight capacity, this is a great option, especially with the versatility, you have stacked receivers. So rather than sliding the ball mount up and down, you put it into its own separate hitch. With this design though, one major downside is there is still a lot of movement. You don't really have any anti-rattle components. These are all hitch pins and clips, so there will be some up and down and side to side. But this definitely is pretty much a one stop hitch ball mount. Just make sure you have that 2-1/2" hitch receiver that it can fit into. And that right there was a look at the Gen Y Adjustable Two Ball Mounts with Stacked Receivers right here at etrailer.

Insert this heavy-duty mount into your 2-1/2" hitch to get 5 stacked 2-1/2" receivers for mounting the included 2" ball, 2-5/16" ball, pintle hook, or other hitch-mounted accessory. Tongue weight is 3,500 lbs.Its stout and pulls my 7X16 foot enclosed trailer, fully loaded with 8,000 pounds, without any issue. I don't even know that its back there. I have a diesel Ram 2500 with an 8 inch lift and the hitch drops level with the trailer. 5 stars!!
Haven't used it yet but it looks great! 19 f250 with 8" lift and 37's. The 12 drop is perfect
Everyone was helpful to order and help towards getting an account set up for the business.
Been towing with this hitch for a year now. It’s the best hitch I’ve ever owned. The longest I’ve ever kept the same hitch. Easy to switch heights, strength, it’s bulletproof. I’ve dropped a loaded dump trailer onto the ball after not getting it lined up correctly. The weight would have bent any other hitch. This Gen-Y laughed at it.
Shipping was lightning quick, fantastic hitch insert...
Product is pretty awesome. very well built. We use in the marine shop for towing 42-50ft 25k+ boats. This is the first product to withstand the requirments. The pintle is so simple and keeps the shop truck from having to swap a standard ball and P-hook between different trailer applications. Highly recommend for the serious user. Its HEAVY so handling the product is a chore but reliability is definatly there. if you buy locking pin for hitch, buy the strongest you can find. We damaged one with this product.
This hitch has been used with both balls in every height position. Hitch is durable and high quality. It has not been off my truck since I purchased it and is used frequently to tow 10-20K trailers.
This is great. Heavy duty, quality product. will use to tow my toad behind my RV & bike rack for bikes above tow bar
Awesome heavy duty hitch, ordered some locking pins for just incase someone felt strong enough to to take it.
This hitch is the last one I should ever have to buy. It is well worth the money and should last a long time. I pull 10,000lb trailers and it works out well. No rattling or clanking with this hitch.
By far the most heavy duty hitch I have ever purchased. Could tell whwn I picked up the box it was well built! Just got it on when I got home from work and haven't used it yet, but it will definitely get tested tomorrow. I will post pics later. If you are on the fence, get it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Packaging could be better. Brand new expensive hitch and because it’s packaged poorly there are dings and scrapes and missing coatings on the flats where it’s been banged around. There again this is a bad ass hitch and extremely sturdy and well built. This is a tool and meant to work so the dings aren’t a big deal really if you’re going to use it as such but if you’re wanting show truck sparkle this didn’t suffice. I know these spots where the hitch has been dinged will rust.
I have both ball and pintle hitch Trailers. That is why I bought this hitch. The hitch it self is well built but the Paint job is not that great . I have had it a year and most of the paint on the Shank ( another reason I bought it for the 3" shank to fit my receiver on my ford Superduty) is pretty much gone. The hitch it self still clanks around in the receiver .I wish there was an adaptor to fit over the Larger ball so that my pintle eye would not move around so much.
This is a well built long lasting hitch.
Simpliflies the work of switching between ball sizes. And will minimize damage from others if struck in the rear.
Great product. Very stout, but also very heavy. Only complaint is the weight, particularly because I am not a full time trailer “tower” so I install/remove frequently. Definitely peace of mind in terms of not having to worry about ball mount issues with 2500#+ tongue weight.
Nice hitch need a set of locking pins please send me what’s available
