Oh my sweet adjustable hitch from the future, where have you been all my lifted truck life?! ?? Let me tell you, this GenY adjustable hitch is like the superhero sidekick my overgrown, behemoth of a Dodge 1 ton needed to conquer the highways and byways with style, swagger, and an adjustable drop that's got me feeling like a towing wizard!

Picture this: my truck, the size of a small building, with tires that could probably qualify as a down payment for a small country. And then there's the trailer – it's like a mobile home with an identity crisis. Traditional hitches quiver in fear when they see my rig coming, but not the GenY. Nope, this hitch faces my truck's titanic drop with a grin and says, "Bring it on, buddy!"

So, what's the deal with this hitch, you ask? Well, let me break it down for you while keeping my excitement level in check (which is near impossible):

Adjustable Awesomeness: The GenY hitch doesn't just drop – it swoops, it dips, it twirls. Okay, maybe not twirls, but you get the idea. You want to tow your luxury yacht or your miniature house? Boom, this hitch adjusts to whatever mind-boggling height difference you can throw at it.

Zero Drama, All Towing Nirvana: Remember the time when towing made your truck feel like it was dragging a herd of elephants through a mud pit? Yeah, those days are over. With the GenY hitch, my Dodge struts its stuff like a runway model with a trailer in tow. Smooth as butter, I tell you. Smooth as butter!

Weightlifting Champion: I swear, I've pulled everything short of a small planet with this hitch. The GenY hitch handles weight like a pro wrestler handles dumbbells – effortlessly! No creaks, no groans, just a confident "I got this" vibe that makes me want to challenge it to a bench press competition. (Spoiler: I'd lose.)

Confidence Booster: Have you ever seen a truck hitch that oozes confidence? Well, you're about to! Every time I back up to my trailer, I can practically hear my hitch saying, "Don't worry, buddy, I've got your back!" And it does, every single time.

Conversation Starter: I can't tell you how many times people have walked by my truck and trailer combo, only to do a double-take at the hitch. It's like having a celebrity accessory for my truck. Sometimes, I feel like rolling down my window and saying, "Oh, this? It's just my GenY – no big deal!"

In conclusion, my GenY adjustable hitch is not just a hitch – it's a legendary partner in crime for my lifted Dodge adventure-mobile. If my truck could write reviews, it would probably leave an even longer, more passionate review than this. But for now, take my word for it – if you're towing with a truck that's on the verge of having its own postcode, get yourself a GenY hitch and let the good times (and the trailers) roll!

This item is so universal also a good deflector if you might get rear ended! Perfect fit for my 2013 Nissan Rogue. Thank you etrailer.com Very good Engineering... William

I purchased based on the photos that show 2 pins in the hitch as the top pin holds the pintle attachment. When it arrived and was not included I was told cannot send pintle attachment and would have to pay xx to return. Said no option for pintle attachment separate.
Person I spoke with even agreed it looked as if included. I have one on my other truck and love the product. I felt the advertisement was not what I received.

Unfortunately Gen-Y no longer sells their pintle hook. The good news is they do sell a pintle mounting plate for 2 inch hitches, item # 325-GH-1201, that you can pair with a Curt pintle hook item # C48210.

Great product, fast easy transaction, fast shipping. No pins included which wasn't clear in the title, listed no pins in the middle of the description that didn't stick out right away.

Great product -it fit my sons truck perfectly. Susan H. Was excellent to work with. She is a good customer service rep.

We live on an Island in SW Florida where everyone has some sort of Hitch, mostly for Boats. After Lugging this Beauty out to our 34ft Class A Motorhome, we installed our Tow Dolly and Double Bike Rack, and everything came together. The non-rattle screws worked great on the Bike Rack. The 10in Drop leveled the Dolly Tounge just right. We are off to be Full Time RVers, never to worry about Towing again... Thanks..

by:

The hitch is one great heavy heavy duty unit! We have 2 trailers, each with a different size ball. With this unit we can quickly adjust for different trailer heights and ball sizes. definitely worth the money.

by:

Super heavy duty hitch that should last a lifetime. Quick shipping too.

by:

I have no complaints, works great. Max adjustment for different trailers and well made.

by:

Ive had this hitch for a year now and I am very happy with the craftsmanship. I work in the masonry business and have allot of very heavy loads and it is holding up excellent.

by:

Haven't had a chance to use it but ut seems more than capable of doing the job

by:

This thing is a beast, I knew it would be stout for the weight it's approved for but dang - very well made!

Works great for towing trailers with different heights of sway bar hitches. The ability to put whatever kind of hitch you want at any height is invaluable, I will probably never have to buy a drop hitch ever again in my life, the construction on this is very stout.

by:

This hitch is solid! We used it to flat-tow a Jeep behind our motorhome and use the top slot for the bike rack. It was super solid and performed perfectly during this 4500+ mile trip.

by:

Very heavy duty stacked receiver and dual ball. Combined with the stabilizer bars i feel safe hauling my trailers. Still able to use my other hitches with this receiver too.

by:

I've not towed with it yet, but it's very high quality and seems way overbuilt. I like the hammered finish and the components are very nice. Once I figured out how they work, Gen-Y's 'twisting lock pin' is easier to use than a standard cotter pin and adds some piece of mind that it's not going anywhere. Love that you can store the ball mount in front of the hitch when not using it - including sideways so that it doesn't reduce ground clearance, even when in the lowest receiver. The only thing I don't like about it - which etrailer comments on in the online item description - is that it doesn't fit very snug. Combined with the 2-1/2 to 2" reducer sleeve, there's a fair amount of play. Not sure yet if this is going to create rattling when towing (that would reduce my stars). One note: based on the Gen-Y website's method for determining the appropropriate drop for my vehicle, I should have ordered the 10" drop. I did my own measuring and ordered the 7-1/2" drop instead, which works perfectly for my 2021 RAM 3500 SRW 4x4.

by:

All in all a good set up. A lot more play in the receiver than I expected. Fair amount of rattling around without a trailer attached. In all fairness I do live in a state with poor roads.

by:

Has done what it is supposed to do. I have used the hitch to tow two boats over the last two years using both ball sizes. The only issue is the appearance. Saltwater creates rust and break down of the coating on the hitch. Was never dunked in salt has been effected being near saltwater. Hitch was washed with freshwater after each use in salt.

I probably wouldn’t buy again. I have seen some other hitches that can do similar adjustments that do better near saltwater environments.

by:

Holy crap, thing is built like a tank. Needed it to lower my front mount to accommodate a ebike rack. Worked great!

by:

Amazing hitch will NEVER buy another! Quality craftsmanship, excellent service from etrailer!

by:

This thing is a monster, going to be perfect for what I got it for, had to have a 12 inch rise for flat towing our 2021 raised Jeep wrangler. looked all over for something strong enough for the job, and this beast is perfect.

  • How Do I know How Much Drop Is Needed When Getting A Ball Mount?
Finding the correct rise or drop will depend on two things. First will be the measurement from the ground to the inside top of your trailer hitch. This measurement will vary between hitch manufacturer, vehicle manufacturer, tire size if not the stock tires, and if a lift is used. As you have the lift and I am guessing tires that are not the stock size, you will definitely need to measure. Once you have this measurement, you will need to measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler...

  • How to Carry Bike Rack and Flat Tow Vehicle with 10 INch Riser Adapter
I do have a solution for you, however I do not recommend using the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-10 in conjunction with the High-Low Adapter # RM-048-10 that you already have. Using an adapter with another adapter like this will cause a really unstable connection and essentially reduce the weight capacity of your RV's hitch to an unknown number. A better solution for what you are looking to do is with the Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-515 (or for just the shank part #...

For your weight distribution shank I recommend the Reese Weight Dist Shank - Drop Only - 11" Long # RP3344. This shank will give you a 7-5/8" drop using a trunnion-bar system or a 8-5/8" drop using a round bar system. If you have a round bar system, you can get a deeper drop of up to 10 inches with the Curt # C17124. These are the deepest drop shanks we carry based on the bar style of your system. If you need a deeper drop then you will need to use the Gen-Y stackable ball mount to...

To tow your Lance trailer and haul a motorcycle carrier off of your F-250's hitch, I recommend the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers item # 325-GH-515. This adjustable ball mount has five 2" receiver openings that will allow you to use both a hitch mounted motorcycle rack and tow your trailer. • Is There A Bumper Mounted RV Cargo Carrier Available With Enough Clearance To Also Flat Tow
A bumper mounted cargo carrier isn't going to leave enough clearance for you to tow a Jeep behind your Forest River Sunseeker 2350LE. You would instead need to use a stacked receiver like the Gen-Y # 325-GH-515 in the rise position along with a hitch mounted carrier like the # C18152. The stacked receiver will have multiple receivers so that you can haul the carrier as well as make sure that your tow bar is level between the motorhome and Jeep.

It also only has a 400lb tongue weight so you'd need to make sure that the weight of the bike rack, bike, and tongue weight from the trailer doesn't exceed 400lbs.
