Perfect to haul my utility trailer and what I like most is I can lower my tailgate and it won’t hit the trailer jack.

by:

I was using a reducer before, but those can be a pain to line up and don't work with all Ball Mounts (due to depth and the support weld underneath. This works great and gives me peace of mind.

I am glad I upgraded to this ball mount. It was worth the money, saves time and frustration. My back is not the best and using this means I spend less time bend over trying to line up 3 sets of holes.

by:

Pleased with the drop hitch and both the 2" and the 2 5/16" ball. Will be using the bigger ball to move my travel trailer in the drive way. I've ordered from etrailer in the past and always satisfied with the products, as well as the customer service.

by:

Well constructed ball mount, quality material. Perfect fit in the Reese Titan V hitch.

by:

etrailer is the best place to buy trailering products. I had an excellent buying experience with quality product, knowledgeable staff and timely delivery. It doesn't get any better.

Works great - excellent advice

by:

Great hitch and a perfect drop for many trailers. Also, this hitch now works just fine with Ford SuperDutys with OEM 2.5" receivers. Either Ford or Reese made some design changes since Ford started including 2.5" hitches from the factory (back in 2011ish timeframe many Ford owners had issues with aftermarket ball mounts not fitting their OEM receivers). On my 2015 there isn't even close to an interference. I tried it on a buddies 2015 SD as well, plenty of room.

by:

great piece of equipment. has kept the finish and even the sticker! going to 2.5 inche hitch and not using the adapter that came with the truck has really cut down on the rattle. I'm lovin" it!

by:

this is a great product exactly what i ordered. This is the second receiver hitch i have ordered from e trailer and would defiantly recommend them to any one looking for trailer or towing equipment. fast and friendly service and i took advantage of free shipping

by:

Looks well built. Good welds. Heavy construction. Fit well in 2017 Ram 3500 factory receiver. Pin hole lined up perfectly. Pulled a 17' bass boat around for a couple of hours. No clunking or rattling. For a fixed-height class 5 hitch, you can't do much better. Great price & prompt delivery, as usual.

by:

This is the second one of these I have bought. I have one with a 2" ball and the other with a 2-5/16. Super tough and built to last! I have a 2014 Ram 2500 Longhorn. This is just about perfect drop to haul my trailer with the Razor on it. The bigger ball one I use to move the camper in close area's.
It is as heavy as it looks.

by:

No issues. Very solid mount. All the towing gear that I've bought recently I've gotten from etrailer.com, and I'm very pleased. Lots of good info on the site, great selection, prompt shipping, and they seem genuinely interested in making sure what they sell does what you need it to do.

by:

Etrailer was the only online distributor that had exactly the hitch I needed for my application. Shipping was quite expeditious and most importantly the hitch fits and functions exactly as I wanted. Would certainly do business with Etrailer again.

by:

The Titan Ball Mount was exactly what I needed to get the right drop to level my car hauler. I shopped local auto supply stores and similar ball mounts were $20 more and needed to be "special ordered". Ordering online was easy and the product videos were great!

by:

As with previous orders, this one arrived quickly and well packaged. All items are top quality and I’m sure will perform as advertised. etrailer is the only place I turn to for trailer/towing equipment & supplies. Prices are good, employees are helpful and shipping is prompt!

by:

Ball mount for class V receivers... It leveled out my trailer and does the job without using 2" to 2-1/2" adapters...

by:

Great hitch. Solid. Rattles though and I haven’t found an anti-rattle device that will fit.

by:

A great, strong hitch. I use it being my lifted F-350 and have had no problems with anything I hook up behind my truck!

by:

Hitch is what I wanted. The box that it came in didn’t fair very well, but no damage to the receiver.

by:

Had trouble finding this product...until I found etrailer. Quick search and order was placed. Arrived on time and is exactly what I needed! Thank you!!!

by:

The folks at etrailer specifically Dani were great. Thanks for helping me find the specific item I needed. Fast service, good product, good price, excellent. I am a repeat customer.

by:

It just doesn't get any easier buying from etrailer, they have everything and it's shipped right to your door fast! Won't buy from anywhere else! Thanks again!

by:

Ball Mount purchaseBuilt like a tank and fit the F350 2.5" receiver perfectly.

by:

Product arrived ahead of schedule, was in like new condition, and works as expected. I will definitely recommend this company to others in the future. Very satisfied with product and service.

Ive had this product for a year now and have had the chance to pull the trailers it was bought to pull. This product works perfect. It is so nice to have a 2.5 drawbar that fits and doesnt have any slop in it. Trailers tow nice a straight and feel solidly connected to the truck. Will definitely come back for future needs.

by:

Excellent! I will be able to haul my two axle heavy trailer with confidence.

by:

Tried using a cheap 2" from a box store and the reducing sleeve that came with my truck. I ended up having way to much slop and movement with that setup. The 2 1/2" has a much tighter fit and doesnt clunk around every start and stop. Great product.

  • 8 inch Drop Ball Mount Recommendation for 2018 RAM 2500 with 2-1/2 inch Hitch
We have the Draw Tite ball mount part # 45291 that fits a 2-1/2 inch hitch like what you have and has an 8 inch drop which is the closest fixed ball mount we have to 10 inches of drop. This has a capacity of 12,000 lbs too.

  • Ball Mount with 8-Inches of Drop for Use in 2-1/2-Inch Hitch
We can offer you a choice of fixed and adjustable type ball mounts in your required 2-1/2-inch size that give you the 8-inches of drop. You can see all on the linked page. For a fixed ball mount you can use Draw-Tite # 45291. Be sure to choose a hitch ball that has the correct 1-1/4-inch diameter shank to fit this, such as 2-5/16-inch ball # C40030. If you prefer a multi-ball adjustable mount you might consider the Weigh Safe # WS8-25.

  • Ball Mount with 4 to 6 Inch Drop for a 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
B&W ball mount # BWBMHD30214 has a 6 inch drop and will fit the 2-1/2 inch Ford receivers. It is rated for 16,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 1,600 pounds tongue weight. I have included a link to a video review for you.

  • 2-1/2 inch Hitch Adjustable Ball Mount Recommendation for a Ford Hitch
The issue with the Ford factory 2-1/2 inch receiver is that the radius of the rounded corners is different than the radius of the rounded corners on the Titan shank you mentioned. It may not be the solution you had in mind, but the only ball mounts we have that will fit a 2-1/2 inch hitch and give you the amount of drop you need would be an adjustable ball mount like the part # DTSTBM6825.

  • 10to 12 Extended Ball Mount For Class-5 Hitch With 2 Receiver?
In your question you state that you have a Class-5 hitch, and they come with a 2-1/2” receiver opening. You also state that you have a 2” receiver. I will offer a ball mount solution for either size receiver. For a 2” receiver you can use the 13-1/4” long Brophy # BM20 with 2” drop, or the 14-1/4” long Curt # D-28 with 6” drop. For a 2-1/2” receiver you can use the 12-1/4” long Convert-A-Ball # AMSCV-6 with 6” drop, or the 10-1/2” long Draw-Tite # 45291 with a 7-3/4” drop, or the 13-1/4”...

  • Recommend Ball Mount To Clear Rear Bumper of 2008 Toyota Sienna
We do have a ball mount that should work well for your towing setup, but, the item you referenced, Forged Ball Mount, part # 40332, will not provide the 7 inches of clearance from the pin hole to the edge of the bumper. The item you selected, Titan Ball Mount, part # 45291, cannot be used in the rise position, so it will not work for your towing setup either. A good solution to provide rise to keep your trailer fairly level when towing and to clear your rear bumper would be the Curt...

  • Ball Mount for 2-1/2-Inch Hitch That Gives 8-Inches of Drop
The Convert-A-Ball 2-1/2-Inch Cushioned Ball Mount # AMSCV-6 provides height drop of 6-inches but since they do not offer one like it with 8-inches of drop you can instead check out the items on the linked page which provide 8-inches of drop. These include both fixed ball mounts like 12K Draw-Tite # 45291 and 20K Curt # C45460 and adjustable ball mounts like Bullet Proof # ED258.

  • Can a Ball Mount for a 2-1/2 Inch Class V Trailer Hitch be Used in the Rise Position
Depending on the ball mount, you can use it in the rise or drop position. Some ball mounts, like # 45291, can only be used in the drop position. The Reese Titan Ball Mount, # RP45323, that comes in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, # EBMK25518, can be used in the rise or drop position. It will provide 3-1/2 inches of rise or 5 inches of drop. It also has a maximum tongue weight of 1,200 pounds. However, it is steel and not aluminum. You also need a hitch ball # C40030. • Is Ball Mount Adapter # A81008 Needed to Install Rockstar Mudflaps While Using Brophy Reducer # HR26
To use the Rockstar Mudflaps on the # HR26 reducer you will need to use the Ball Mount Adapter # A81008 if you do not have a 2 inch ball mount installed as well. If you have a ball mount in the adapter then the mud flaps can be installed on it. If you're using the reducer as a location to install the mud flaps then the # A81008 is needed. Another option instead of the # HR26 is to install a 2-1/2 inch ball mount with a long shank like # 45291.
