Ball Mount to Use with Class II Hitch Towing Small Trailer
Question:
Hello, I need to transport 5 fat bikes with my 2013 Toyota Camry. It has a Class II Uhaul hitch 1 1/4 to tow a 5x8 Utility Trailer, that uses a 1 7/8 inch ball. Question: 1. Do I need to get a hitch adapter/expander from 1 1/4in to 2 inch? Or will a 1 1/4 inch tow ball mount be sufficient to connect the utility trailer with a 1 7/8 inch ball to my Class II hitch on my Camry? Does that make sense? Thank you,

Best option would be a ball mount that fits your Class II hitch directly and not to use a hitch adapter as they cut the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. We have the Euro style Class II ball mount with part # C45551 which has a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball and a 2-3/4 inch rise.
We also have a pin and clip with part # F-4 to use to secure the ball mount to the hitch.
