Used on the rear door of a snow cat. Will easily last the life of the machine.

by:

These are super Beefy. We made a custom door for our trailer. Which ended up being a huge project. But overall we're super happy with the part. Works great and will last a long time!

by:

Just what I needed to get my trailer doors on better support. The latches work great also.

by:

here is a pic of the trailer I built, used the products from your place. started with a simple
utility trailer, and build this enclosed trailer.

by:

Received the wrong part. I did not receive what is pictured here. I believe I received something from 2212 series of hinges,

by:

The welded on hinges on my trailer gate broke off. I added these hinges and the trailer gate works great again. Good product, see very strong.

by:

This product was perfect for the creation of our Honey Warmer. The size and strength of the door arms made the insulated doors easy to operate.

by:

The T strap hinges are exactly what I hoped for, they showed up on time and excellent condition. Thank you etrailer for yet another successful purchase.

by:

After a year of use, the hinges I bought are functioning perfectly. Very sturdy.

More important is the depth and quality of the service from etrailer.com:

1. Excellent specific part service.
The detail in the photos of my specific hinge - WITH dimensions - enabled me to buy EXACTLY what I needed the first time. The staff provided the dimensions - they were not from some standard, 'similar' hinge.

2. Quick delivery.

3. Easy access to real human beings who actually know something about the products. Very rare.

4. etrailer.com is my go-to vendor for all trailer parts.

by:

The strap hinges that were purchased from etrailer were lightly sandblasted and painted black to match frame and other hardware on rebuilt trailer.
The hinges were the perfect solution for the tailgate which provided the option to support the tailgate in the horizontal position with chain or rotate the tailgate completely down and out of the way.

by:

The customer service was excellent, and the hinges are working great!

by:

High Quality. Really happy about this H inge.

by:

Excellent product and service

by:

thank you for the hinges. we used them not in a traditional type. but on the back of
the horse trailer door. had to drop a floor to accommodate my chuckwagon. so the door had to be redone. great product

by:

Ordered latch and hinges (heavy) for Cargo trailer door and new tank sensors (very light and somewhat delicate) for our RV. Arrived in just a couple of days packed all in one perfect box with excellent packaging. Another site should take lessons from etrailer. Great price AND made in the USA!

by:

Easy to install seem to work very well

by:

I used these hinges on my shed doors, two on each door, each door is 4 feet wide by 7 foot tall. The doors are light and strong so as not to max out the weight rating of the hinges. I went with my own experience to determine how much weight the hinges will take. I would of liked to know the weight rating of the hinges, but could not find it. So far they work very well. I will keep lube on the pins because of being out in the weather, and to see how long they will last. They are a well made hinge and depends on your use should last, as long as you don't over load them.

by:

Hinge was made of high quality material and was a perfect replacement for worn hinges on our Trailer. Repair was simple and the communication from etrailer was excellent. Parts arrived on the esimated delivery day provided. Many thanks.

by:

As usual - great product and great service from etrailer.com. Have shopped here for three years and never been disappointed in the quality - these hinges are no exception!

by:

my order off items was used to add a door to each front side off a 5x8 trailer. The job turned out great , thanks to your products.

by:

The hinge i ordered was nothing like i had expected it to be! its simply amaaaazazing! Sure i knew i was getting a hinge, but i never expected it to have such a smooth streamline finish. Not unlike that of what i imagine an extra terrestrial spaceship to be! Such a magnificent streamlined creation from a marvelous alloy. Also when i saw that it had arrived on the exact day i was told i was sure there to be a mistake. How could i receive a product in a timely manor? Never the less they came through with their promise of delivery. What a great product! What a great company!!! Seriously though.... Great product from what i can only assume is a great company. Raises for everyone involved!

by:

Buying these products....you won't go wrong. They are
high quality...professional hardware. When I need trailer items,
I will always come to etrailer.com.

by:

Great site to visit easy to maneuver through great choices and descriptions. Shipping was super fast and product was just as described . I will absolutely use etrailer.com again.
Thank You Paul.

by:

This product was exactly what I was hoping for. I received the parts much sooner than I anticipated. I certainly will order from this vendor again.......

  • Replacement Strap Hinge For Trailer Door
Thanks for the photo and it looks like you need a T-strap hinge; we don't have anything specifically for a 1993 Sooner trailer but you may be able to use the T-Strap Hinge # PLR3408. The mounting holes on this are 3-1/4" center to center and the strap itself is 8" long with holes 2-7/16" apart. Another option may be the T-Strap Hinge # 2512 which has a 12" strap. Its mounting holes are also 3-1/4" center to center with the strap having holes 3-5/8" apart. If none of these lengths are...

  • Recommended Strap Hinges For 4 x 8 Foot Doors for Enclosed Trailer
What you're planning sounds like it would work, but you'll need to be sure you have some cross members in the door where each hinge mounts. Since the doors are large and are likely pretty heavy, I'd use the biggest hinges you can. If you were wanting the hinge to swing all the way up against the side of the trailer, I'd recommend using # 2212. A hook and keeper, part # 383400 would hold the door open for you as you load/unload. If you only need the door to swing 180 degrees, use # 2512....

  • Replacement Strap Hinge for Back Door on Featherlite Trailer
We currently offer 3 different replacement strap hinges, # 2008-8, # 2512, and # 2212, for cargo trailers. I have included a photo showing each of these with their measurements listed. I recommend comparing these measurements to the strap hinges on your Featherlite Trailer to determine if we have a strap that will work for you.

  • Replacement Strap Hinge for 1998 Keifer built Golden Eagle Trailer
From the look of your picture I'm guessing you have the 180 degree Polar strap hinge part # 2512. The entire strap from the hinge is about 12 inches long from the center of the pin and the holes are 3-5/8 inches apart on center. If this doesn't line up exactly can you tell me the exact measurements of your strap's hole spacing?

  • Hardware Recommendation for Installing Polar Strap Hinge for Enclosed Cargo Trailer Doors # 2512
I went to our warehouse to check the dimensions for the mounting holes on the Polar Strap Hinge for Enclosed Cargo Trailer Doors # 2512. The two holes on the smaller end of the hinge measure 0.4-inches (10mm) and the three holes on the larger end measure 0.34-inches (8.5mm) in diameter. Since this item is galvanized you'll want to use galvanized hardware (or stainless steel) for installation on your trailer. I wish we offered hardware for this but since we do not your best option is...

  • Removing Old Strap Hinges on Cargo Trailer that Use Rivets to Secure
You are going to have to drill out the old hardware that is holding your hinges to your cargo trailer currently as they are basically rivets. The strap hinge replacements part # 2512 that you referenced will work really well for your setup as replacements. Best option will be to determine the type of wood and dimensions of your current doors and then go with wood that matches that. • Is There a Weight Capacity for the Polar Strap Hinges
I have reached out to my contact at Polar before asking about the weight rating of their straps, like part # 2512, and I have been told that they don't really have a weight rating. There are so many different variables into the equation that it is next to impossible for them to give an accurate answer. • Difference Between Strap Hinge 2512 and Over-the-Seal Hinge PLR2512-AS
In the case of hinge # PLR2512-AS, which is an over the seal hinge, and a strap hinge # 2512, there isn't a difference. A hinge that is designed with that raised section near that actual hinge part can be considered an over the seal hinge because it reaches over a seal or molding. It just so happens that many hinges described as strap hinges have the same design. I have linked videos on both hinges for you.
