Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Puller Hardware Wide Bracket Strap Hinge. Now, this strap hinge is perfect for use on trailers and truck bodies. It allows you to open the door easily so this portion right here, for instance, if you had this installed on an enclosed trailer, this would attach to the actual trailer body. This portion would attach to the trailer door and when you're ready to open the door. It provides really nice movement and a nice strong hold. Now, this is made from a durable steel construction.

Strong and durable, it has a zinc plated finish on it so it does a great job at resisting rust and corrosion.The strap portion measures two inches wide. There's three mount holes on the strap and three mount holes on the actual base. All the mount holes on the unit have a diameter of 5/16 of an inch. Mounting hardware is not included. It does feature a non-removable pin for maximum security and again, it does offer really nice movement.

I don't feel any kinking or binding. Really nice design, the product's made in the U.S.A. The strap length is taken from the center of the pin to the end of the strap. We'll take a measurement of that. That's going to give us a measurement of 12 inches long.

Now the overall length of the unit when it's laid flat like this is about 15 inches long.The base measures four and a half inches long and then taking the measurement of the base width, we're going to measure from the center of the pin again to the edge right here and that's right around three inches. The area that contacts the mounting surface is this portion here so from my finger all the way out to the end of the base, that measures about two and 3/8 of an inch from this point here out to this point here. Now, these mount holes are separated on center by 3 1/4 inches. If you place a straight line on center between those two and then measure down to the center of this hole, that measurement right there is 1 3/8 of an inch.
