Bought it for our dually & 5th wheel. Works great

by:

Once again, etrailer did an outstanding job. Probably my 5th or 6th order from them and every time they shipped it out that day, gave me tracking info and let me know when it was delivered. Great customer service! This is my go to for anything trailer related that I may need. This compressor worked great as well, got a little warm after 6 tires to 80PSI but very happy with it.

by:

Having a little compressor to inflate tires is a nice tool, but I wanted one that had enough flow to blow out camper water lines should that become necessary in cold weather. Having used it for both purposes, I am impressed with its versatility.

This compressor is very well built, but heavy. It does have a duty cycle which needs to be observed as it will get hot. Lastly, I added a pressure regulator which it does not come with.

One year later, my opinion has not changed. I do not use it regularly, but always carry it on camping trips. Its one of those things that you do not need until you need it.

by:

As usual customer service is above and beyond!

The 5cfm model was out of stock when I ordered.

They shot me an email presenting other options and asked if I'd like to change my order or wait for restock.

Glad I chose to wait.
Not sure how they knew the color of my car though. Light is reflecting weird. In person the colors are nearly identical. Hah hah!

by:

This compressor works very well. It has know problem airing up a truck tire .The only problem I have with it is that it gets very hot after running for a while. I would buy it again.

by:

This is a great compressor. Etrailer is 5 stars, the only reason I give the compressor a 4 is the reach is a little limited, I have a 40’ 5th wheel and it is a stretch to air all my tires. The compressor works great, airs up tires to 115 quickly

by:

Product did not work. Pressure relief valve would only allow compressor to do 100psi before activating.

The compressor does sound like it is not operating correctly. I will have our customer service team reach out to you.

A tank. Replacing the smaller but reliable pump

by:

I have a 2018 Ram 2500HD and factory rear tire pressure is 80psi, I used this Bulldog Winch compressor to air up the rear tires from 47psi back to 80psi after a trip to the beach.

The compressor body itself seems solid and well built, the blue finish looks great also. All accessories were included as advertised, and it came with a handy carrying bag. After exiting the beach, I had both rear tires aired back up to 80psi and was back on the road in about 10 minutes.

There was one thing that prevented me from giving this item 5 Stars. The compressor includes a pressure gauge with a pressure release button for deflation, which is a great feature. However when inflating my rear tires to 80psi there was air coming out around the pressure release button on the pressure gauge. I would think there should only be air coming out there when I push the button in.

Other than that (it still only took less than 10 minutes to air up both tires) I would recommend this compressor to anyone with a truck that has high psi tires, my wife’s cigarette lighter plug powered compressor for her car would have taken forever to get to 80psi if it is even capable of it.

by:

One of the best high powered compressors I have ever used. The duty cycle and high cfm make for a quick process. It filled 2 37" tires and 2 40" tires from 10psi to 40psi in a short amount of time. Perfect for offroading!

by:

The reason I bought a Bulldog Winch 41000 FMJR Air Compressor, I've had bad experiences with cheap aftermarket air compressors, they're loud and it takes forever to fill up one tire before overheating and going broke. Due to the pandemic I was patiently waiting for it, even though I was scheduled to be shipped by Feb 7th. But I never really panic about its delay. I've read your previous reviews and I knew that I was in good hands. I've got my order this afternoon, and I'm excited to put it to good use. Ps. My package from you, it arrived earlier than other purchases that I've made online, and still waiting for them. Thank you for your follow up, before and after the transaction. Keep up the good job and track record.

by:

This has served me well so far. I've only used it to adjust the pressure in my campers tires over the year I've had it, but its been great for that so far. I have confidence it would full fill a tire if I ever needed it to. It does get rather warm, but for this style compressor that is to be expected.

by:

Before having to use my new Bulldog Winch Compressor on the side of the road I put it to the test. I deflated one of my truck tires and pumped it back up to 75 PSI. The pump never missed a stroke. I did not time how long it took to inflate the tire, but it was not very long. I bought this to maintain my truck and fithwheel tires while on the road. Hopefully I will never have to use on the side of the road.

by:

I was looking for a air compressor for the travel trailer. I had a tire that was at 40 psi and after watching the video on how easy it was to set up, I hooked the compressor up to the tire. It only took about 40 seconds or less to fill the tire to 50 psi. It was also very easy to connect securely to the value stem.

by:

Haven’t used the compressor yet, but excellent customer service! John emailed me to say delivery would be a couple days late. Couldn’t have been nicer! I feel I purchased from the right company. Etrailer is the place to go!

by:

So this should help with some decision making.
Used
on a Dodge 3500, 32 inch tires, labeled pressure for front is 60lbs backs are 80lbs.
This pump works great! Lowered the tire pressure to 20lbs as though I was going out on the sand, took 5:40 to inflate back to 80lbs.
Two down sides: first it gets pretty hot after only one tire. Second the bag is garbage, very lightweight and it came with one of the two zippers broken.

by:

Too heavy takes too long to fill a tire pressure is poor

by:

This compressor is everything e- trailer advertised it as. It's perfect for "essentials" in the camper. Shipping, as usual was quick, all info accurate. Thanks e-trailer!

by:

One year into the purchase and no regrets. Works just like we opened the box today. Wouldn't travel with out one!

by:

ETRAILER.COM has really been great to work with. Really needed a good pump to fill my camper tires, especially when on the road, & maybe 120 wasn't available. This product should fill that void

by:

Works great. One issue is it isn't set up to allow it to work with dual wheels. Have to make some kind of adapter.

by:

Product arrived on time and good condition. Compressor works fine. Runs very hot at pressures > 100 psi. Very poorly made fabric carry case.

by:

I just received this today so can't say how long it will last but it seems built pretty well. I aired up the tires on my RV and it worked very well.

by:

I have not used it yet, and box was missing a couple items BUT Drew from etrailer took care of the problem immediately! The missing parts are in the mail! Great service as usual!

by:

Bought it to air up my Ford E450 Class C motorhome tires to 80 PSI. Keeps them topped off nicely!

  • Tire Recommendation for 3500 lb Cargo Trailer on Pavement/Gravel
It looks as if you've looked at a 175/80-13 tire, part # AM10210 so I'll assume that's the tire size used on your trailer. The problem lies in the fact that the highest rated tire we have in that size, # AM10210 has a 1650 lb load rating per tire, or 3300 lbs per axle which wouldn't be enough capacity for a 3500 lb trailer. I'd recommend going up to a 14 inch wheel and a Load Range D wheel/tire combo in 205/75-14 like part # AM32161 which carries a 2200 lb per tire/4400 lb per axle weight...

  • What Should I Fill my Tow Vehicle's Tires to While Towing
If I am understanding you correctly, you are asking what the tire pressure should be on the tow vehicle while towing a 3,000 lb trailer, not the what the tire pressure should be on the trailer while hauling 3,000 lbs. If that is the case then there will be a sticker on the door lamb most likely which lists the cold fill ratings for both the front and rear tires. This is the figure you will need to use while towing assuming the gross trailer weight is under the towing capacity of the vehicle....

The Bulldog Winch Portable Air Compressor # BDW41003 will be able to easily fill up your trailer tires to your 135 psi rating as long as you have it stationed next to your tires. If you plan on running a longer extension out from your garage then some of the pressure could be lost. It sounds like you are looking for a compressor you can use to inflate 16 inch tires to 65 psi.
