Watch the video on programing. It's so much easier. So happy I got this system. I hadn't checked my tire pressure in over a year. 15 pounds low on all tires. Not any more. So much safer now.

Very well however you must replace the valve stems with metal ones or they will crack and leak.

Love the TPM’s One problem was the contriful forse of the wheels made the units hit against the tire rims,, solved by installing metal valve stems. I covld have been told that

Blow out, alarms went off, saved me from damage to TT, only now the tire sensor does not work, other three OK.

I have not had any issues with the monitor. Instructions were easy to follow and I would recommend this product.

Great peace of mind now while towing my 29' travel trailer. Wish I had purchased it sooner. I have had mt share of flat tires on my travel trailer with two of them I did not even realize I had a flat and my tire shredded and had to buy a new tire. One of them even damaged the tire in front of it but I did not see anything until that tire went flat on the same trip.
So glad I will be alerted right away and likely save a tire from being destroyed or save me from possibly having an accident with the inability to stop properly if my tire was flat. Again, great peace of mind! I truly recommend this product 100%.

by:

On a trip a couple of years ago, we had a blow-out on one of the tires on the travel trailer. I have towed trailers for 40+ years, both cargo and travel trailers and I have always been able to detect when something was amiss. This time, however I was shocked when I had no idea that a tire blew until I was flagged down by a passing motorist. It was just luck that the trailer itself was not damaged. I decided to purchase a TPMS.

The system installed easily. The repeater transmitted the data without problem to the in-cab receiver. The rechargeable in cab receiver did not require recharging except at the end of a three week trip and even then there was plenty left.

I did have some problem understanding the instructions on how to program the unit, specifically, deleting un-needed axles as this unit is made with 18 wheelers in .Once I got the hang of it, things went smoothly. I will come back to report any issues, but for now it's a 5 star for performance. No deduction for my problems on programming.

by:

I forget I have it, which is the goal I think. The battery life on this thing is great. We travel 2-3 times per month, so I get a few months of life before I need to charge the head unit. The signal mostly worked before I hooked up the repeater it comes with. With the repeater in the battery bay, the tires sync up quickly.

by:

Pretty good product. Setup was a little cumbersome but I got through it with the included directions. It is meant for an tractor trailer with many axles so that is annoying that you have to cycle through all the extra tire locations during setup but in the end it works well.

by:

Would buy again and would recommend to others. Product was easy to install but programming can be frustrating. Display works great and is easy to see. Repeater antenna was absolutely necessary and with it no dropped readings. Metal valve stems are required.

by:

These work very well. I placed the little monitor on top of the dash to easily check the numbers. One time we were in very cold temps and the pressures were down below the limit I had set--boy howdy, the alarm works well!
Would I buy these again?? Yep.
Thanks etrailer

by:

The tire monitor seems good. The directions were not very well organized and left as many questions as instructions. The monitor connected easily and seems to stay connected in my short time of using so far. Caution: I did not realize when I bought this that rigid metal tire stems are required. Rubber ones are not stiff enough to support the weight of the monitor. I had to spend an additional $80 to replace the rubber stems with metal.

by:

Easy to install, easy to use and seems reliable so far.

by:

Works great. The downside is we have to remove the sensors to check add/remove air. Wish we would have ordered the regular sensors

  • What is Difference Between TST Tire Pressure Monitor Systems # TST-507-FT-4 and # TST-507-FT-4-C
The two kits you mentioned are basically the exact same with exception being the color of the display. The # TST-507-FT-4-C has the color display that puts the alert messages in red if there's high or low pressure as well as temperature whereas the gray scale # TST-507-FT-4 would display everything in the same gray-like color. Either kit works great on rubber valve stems. For the second trailer you'd need additional sensors with # TST-507-RV-S4 and you'd be able to use it with the same...

  • Easiest to Install/Use Tire Pressure Monitoring System for Trailer Application
The tire pressure monitoring system I would recommend for a "beginner" or anyone looking for the easiest to setup and easiest to use in general is the TST TPMS part # TST-507-FT-4. The reason I recommend it is because it installs easier by attaching to the valve stems (others mount in the tire), it's a flow through design which means you can inflate/deflate the tires without removing the sensors, and because it has a grayscale display instead of color which helps with the cost. If you...

  • Will the TST Tire Pressure Monitoring System # TST-507-FT-4 Work on Un-threaded Valve Stems?
To answer your main question, yes, you can have the valve stems changed out to ones that will work with your tires and the TPMS system. I recommend going to either a local RV/Trailer Maintenance shop or your local tire shop; either of these spots will be able to make these changes on your trailer tires. You could even purchase the stems in advance and have them installed at one of those locations. In order to choose the correct stems, you'll need to know the maximum PSI rating on your tire,...

I used to live in the desert so I understand the necessity for what you are intending to do when traveling across soft sand. • Are The TireMinder Flow Through Sensors Waterproof And Suitable For Boat Trailer Wheels?
Yes, the sensors that come with the TireMinder TPMS # TST-507-FT-4 are indeed waterproof and are suitable for boat trailer wheels. The transmitter is also waterproof, however TireMinder does not recommend the transmitter box be submerged more than 30 minutes. As long as you keep that in mind when you are installing the transmitter and when you launch your boat you will be able to use the sensors without any issues.

  • What is Max Safe Tire Temperature
The typical tire should run about 158 degrees (Farenheidt) once you get going down the road, but this can vary greatly depending on the weight of the trailer, how fast you're traveling, and also driving habits. So while 158 is probably "normal", it isn't really a standard to try to stay at. I will say that you do want to avoid hitting the 167 mark as that is usually when problems start to arise when you go over that. 200 degrees is when you need to stop and check things out. If you have...

I'd recommend a TPMS system from TST, Truck Systems Technologies, because they're highly rated by our customers, they work great and their customer support is outstanding. To keep costs down, I'd recommend a system going with a system that used a grayscale monitor, versus the color.
