Tire Sensor Installation

Tire sensor Install Diagram

  1. Place the included wrench around the sensor. You must use the wrench to put on or remove the sensor from your tire's valve stem.
  2. Screw the sensor onto the valve stem. Tighten the sensor until the air stops leaking and the sensor bottoms out on the valve stem. Give it a slight twist to fully seat the sensor while being careful not to over-tighten.

Note: To inflate or deflate a tire you must remove the sensor.

Have used TST in the past and needed extra sensors for the new coach.....etrailer provided their normal fast service!

by:

Really nice having enough sensors for truck and trailer and setting up ensure is very simple ! So far great product

by:

Replacing a set without exchangeable batteries. Easy to set UP with TST MONITOR.

by:

The wrench that you use to tighten the sensors is awkward to keep straight. It slips out of place easily.

by:

works well use it every time we take the travel trailer.
set up was harder than I thought it should be. Great accessory to have.

by:

The TST monitoring system works great, but be advised there IS a bit of programming / trial and error involved in getting the thing commissioned ... but once it is working, it is a very good accessory for the safety of travel trailers. Overall, the TST instructions could use a bit of improvement to make them more user-friendly. As usual, etrailer delivered on-time!

by:

After a year of using the TST tire pressure monitoring system, I am very satisfied. It has worked on my truck and trailer in all weather and always alerted my of any low pressure condition. I would buy it again and would strongly recommend it to a friend.

by:

Saved me a flat when towing!

by:

This sensor pack is perfect for the trailer so both truck and trailer tires are monitored, to provide information before a situation becomes much worse.

One year later and the product is still great. The tire monitoring system has been working perfectly and allows you to confirm tire pressures are good, if something feels a little off. In the event of low pressure, you are alerted to the situation before it becomes a big issue. This is a must have product for vehicle and trailer. ETrailer has been oustanding to deal with for a number of purchases, provide great sales and product support.

I have used TST tire pressure monitor sensors for about 7 years on pickup, fifth wheel, motor home, and toad. I purchased additional TST tire pressure monitors for my motor home to replace the flow through type. I had the flow through type and found the amount of air they let in to fill the tire was too slow. The price was competitive. I was kept informed of the shipping, but it took a couple weeks to get the item. The item arrived in perfect condition and all the sensors work like they should.

by:

I have these installed on my 41' fifth wheel and while traveling on interstate 80 in Pennsylvania My alarm sounded.
I immediately pulled of the road and found that I had picked up a piece of steel. (ruined the tire)
With the alarm sounding so quickly I saved running the tire flat and possibly doing more damage to the trailer other than just replacement of the tire. The monitoring system worked so well when I returned home I ordered sensors for two additional trailers that I pull.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone that pulls a trailer.

by:

We have them on our western star HDT and on our DRV 5th wheel...they work great as Advertised...I would recommend etrailer and tst tpms..

by:

Love them! I bought these to add to my RV TPMS to allow me to monitor both my truck and my 36ft 5th wheel RV, for a total of 8 sensors. Worth the price to help ensure the safety of your rig and the precious family cargo inside!

by:

Once again I am very impressed with e Trailer. I am a Canadian customer and have found the prices including exchange to be lower than options here plus the delivery had been remarkable fast on both orders I have made.

A year after purchase and I am even more impressed than I was at first. A definite 5

by:

Easy to assemble and manage tire pressu re.

by:

These Tire pressure sensors, were received 3 days after ordering, which was great. The sensors are installed and working, took a matter of minutes to install.
These are replacing the flow thru type, it is my experience that these cap type sensors give a quicker response then the flow thru type sensors. Also these cap type are shorter then the flow thru type, making them less likely to get broke off.
etrailer is a great company to deal with, they follow up by keeping the buyers informed on shipments, and they want their customers to be satisfied.
I will continue to purchase from etrailer.

by:

Fast service exactly what I ordered

by:

etrailer had the best price for this product and it was shipped and received in a timely manner. I am very impressed by the TST pressure management system and use it for both my truck and 5th wheel.

by:

Very good product. Lots of piece of mine GOING down the Highway to know my tires are at the proper inflation.

Product is working GREAT

by:

Works great. Small enough to be safe with rubber valve stems. A bit of a pain to add or remove any air but well worth the effort

by:

Same as above..

by:

Shipping was very quick and shipping tracking was very helpful. Pricing was also very good. Will definitely be using E-Trailer for future purchases.

by:

Needed these to cover all the wheels between the truck and camper

by:

Great product and great customer service. Amy went above and beyond to help me get my order correct for my application. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks.

  • Compatibility Of TST TPMS Brass Tire Sensors On Rubber Valve Stems
Yes, the Brass Tire Sensors # TST-507-RV-S4 and the sensors that come with the TST TPMS for RVs # TST-507-FT-6-C are compatible with your valve stems. These sensors are compatible with rubber(brass), steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems. They should not be used with aluminum valve stems as that will lead to damage of the sensor as the 2 metals are not compatible and will corrode each other.

  • How To Add Additional Sensors to the TST TPMS for RVs TST-507
In order to add TPMS sensors to your tow vehicle to use with the TST TPMS for RVs part # TST-507-RV-4-C you will also need the Brass Tire Sensors for TST TPMS part # TST-507-RV-S4. The only other thing I recommend for you is extra batteries, the Replacement CR1632 Batteries part # MRI-CR1632. The above will include everything that you need to get setup and hit the road.

  • What is Difference Between TST Tire Pressure Monitor Systems # TST-507-FT-4 and # TST-507-FT-4-C
The two kits you mentioned are basically the exact same with exception being the color of the display. The # TST-507-FT-4-C has the color display that puts the alert messages in red if there's high or low pressure as well as temperature whereas the gray scale # TST-507-FT-4 would display everything in the same gray-like color. Either kit works great on rubber valve stems. For the second trailer you'd need additional sensors with # TST-507-RV-S4 and you'd be able to use it with the same...

  • Recommended Tire Pressure Monitoring System with 12 Sensors
The TST TPMS for RVs - Color Display - Signal Booster - 6 Tire Sensors # TST-507-RV-6-C are a great choice for your Class A and trailer. This company actually started out making TPMS for tractor trailers, so these are extremely durable and I really like the color monitor on the system since it's easy to read. Because of the length of the two vehicles I do recommend adding the Signal Booster # TST-507-R. Since the kit comes with 6 sensors you will need 6 more which can be added with #...

  • TST Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors for a Ford F-450 Dually
Regardless of whether you go with the cap style or flow through, they use the same monitor so you should be good to continue use with your current monitor. I would recommend sticking with the flow through sensors like the Flow Through Tire Sensors for TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-S2 that you already have if they can fit your dually wheels. Since you already have some, you could remove them and test fit them first. Pretty much all valve stems have at least some rubber on them, more than likely...

  • Will the TST-507-RV-6-C Work on an RV/Toad That is 68 ft Long Overall?
I spoke with my contact over at Truck Systems about the TPMS for RVs # TST-507-RV-6-C and those TPMS sensors will work for your RV, but he mentioned that you would likely want to use the system that has the Flow-Through caps instead, which can be found with part # TST-507-FT-6-C . This is the same exact system with the color monitor, but the caps will allow you to fill your tires without removing the TPMS caps if the need arises. Since there is not a pack of 12 sensors available, you'll...

You will need to purchase additional sensors, as this kit only comes with 4. Additional sensors are sold in a 4 pack # TST-507-RV-S4 or a 2 pack # TST-507-RV-S2.

  • Are Aftermarket TPMS Sensors Compatible With Factory In-Dash Monitors
The TPMS (tire pressure monitoring systems) wheel sensors we offer, such as the # TST-507-RV-S4 you'd looked at would used their own monitors, and wouldn't be compatible with the factory in-dash monitor on a Ram truck. The sensors you'd looked at would be included with a kit like # TST-507-RV-6-C which would include 6 sensors, the color monitor and the signal booster. I've linked to a demonstration video featuring the # TST-507-RV-6-C TPMS system.

  • Using TST TPMS on RV that Tows Honda CR-V or Trailer
I reached out to my contact at TST regarding their TPMS systems for your particular application. First he said for your setup it will be best to mount the signal booster in the RV towards the back of the coach. He recommends going with the Color Display TPMS # TST-507-FT-6-C because it will allow for an easier setup to program it for both your Honda CRV and trailer. He said this can absolutely be done and after the initial programming it's just a matter of pushing a couple buttons when...

  • Can TST Flow Through Tire Sensors Replace Standard Sensors
To replace the standard sensors of your TST TPMS for RVs # TST-507-RV-4-C you need the standard Brass Tire Sensors # TST-507-RV-S4, but you can absolutely upgrade your system to use the flow through tire sensors. I recommend doing this because you don't have to remove flow through sensors to add air to your tires, making it much easier. To add 4 of the flow-through sensors you need to order a quantity of 2 of the Flow Through Tire Sensors for TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-S2. It sounds like...

  • Recommended TPMS Sensors For A Motorhome And A Flat Towed Jeep With Rubber Valve Stems
The flow-through sensors included with the TST TPMS for RVs # TST-507-FT-6-C you were looking at are not compatible with rubber valve stems, and the sensors for rubber valve stems not compatible with this specific system so you would need to use kit # TST-507-RV-6-C and get an additional 4 sensors # TST-507-RV-S4 for your Jeep. Flow through sensors are definitely convenient but are heavier and can end up bending and damaging the rubber valve stems on your Jeep.
