Water hose connection leaked then broke off

I reached out to the manufacturer who advised that for the brass part to break there would need to be a lot of stress on the fitting. They recommend using 45 or 90 degree hose save like part # A01-0020VP or part # A01-0019VP that will help prevent stress on the female hose fittings while the hose is attached.

Great service! Quick delivery!

Customer loved this item for their horse trailer. Fit up perfectly.

by:

Product was as expected and arrived in good condition in a timely manner.

by:

Perfect for my custom built skargo trailer works flawlessly on my maiden 6 week voyage thru NM, Co, Utah and back to Texas. I prefer the peace of mind of the lock so nobody but me can control the contents of my water supply.

One year later and all is working fine.

by:

The product was exactly what I was expecting....it fit great as a replacement.....
The only gripe I had was the amount of butyl tape supplied with it....It was only enough to go around the top and two sides....nothing left for the bottom...On purpose? Maybe, to let water drain if need be....Also the butyl tape was barely thick enough.....I had extra on hand and did use it.....

My contact at Valterra confirmed your suspicion, they purposely dont provide tape for the bottom so that water can drain.

by:

worked as it looked like it should. Brass is much better then plastic.
easy install and no leaks.

Good. No concerns at all.

by:

This works well for my toy hauler. Fit right in the space from the old one. I had a plastic hose connector, which broke, wanted to replace it with this brass one. My intention was to remove this brass piece and put it into the old set up, but it is not removable, so I just swapped the whole system. Looks good. Happy with it so far.

The customer service has been great. I called and discussed what I was looking for and they were extremely helpful in getting me the correct part. I ordered while I was on the phone. It came fast and secure.
Thanks

by:

This product was an exact match to the one on my trailer. Since installing it last year we have had no problems with it, works great no more water leaks when hooked up to city water supply.

by:

Knew their product when I called. It worked beautifully and the service was great. I will be dealing with these folks again soon.

by:

Although it was about 1/2 higher than the part being replaced, it was minor hight adjustment to get a snug fit.

by:

Great products, Fast delivery.

by:

Exactly what we needed to replace old panel and locks. We love the Camco insulator, we live in the south and it really blocks the sun and heat!

by:

Looks to be built well, like the brass fitting. Just received it and have yet to install it. Hopefully it will stand up to the elements.

by:

Fit perfect. No problems.

by:

I didn’t get the parts yet

  • Recommended RV Water Inlets For A 2005 Exiss Horse Trailer
Hey Lagina, If you're just looking for a water inlet then we have single (city water or potable water) or dual inlet options available. For a gravity fill water tank inlet you can use # A01-2003VP (white) or # A01-2003BKVP (black). We also offer lockable versions so others can't mess with your water inlets # A01-2002VP (white) or # A01-2002BKVP (black). For city water inlets we offer the # A01-0170LFVP (white) and # A01-0169LFVP (black) with surface mount flanges. For recessed flanges...

  • How to Correctly Orient the Valterra RV Water Tank Part # R8030
There are a total of six 3/8" threaded ports on the Valterra RV Water Tank part # R8030. There are two on the top of one end and two on the bottom of the other end. There is also a center port on each side. Only one of the holes comes tapped from the factory which is the one with the red cap on it. The other ones would need to be punched out to use. Basically you will want to flip the tank over so that the holes on the top are towards the Valterra City Water Inlet part # A01-2000VP. This...

  • How Much Work Is It To Swap Out A Dual Water Inlet With The Valterra lockable Dual Water Inlet
The Valterra Lockable Dual RV Water Inlets # A01-2000VP is very similar in size but without knowing the actual cutout hole dimensions it's not possible to know if you'll need to make modifications. This dual inlet box requires a 5-7/8" wide x 4-3/4" tall cutout hole. Worst case scenario you would have to trim the cutout hole a bit larger to fit this new inlet box in place. You'll want to use butyl tape # AL28FJ on the mounting flange and non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around the outer...

  • Does Valterra City Water Inlet and Lockable Hatch Have A Check Valve
The Valterra City Water Inlet and Lockable Hatch, part # A01-2000VP does have a check valve. I have attached a photo of the fitting with the cap off and have an arrow that is showing where the check valve is in the unit. It is behind the red washer and screen.

  • Will the Valterra # A01-2000VP Work if Inlet Locations are Swapped on OEM Hatch
Since the gravity fill and city water inlets usually have a hose connected behind them you should be able to swap out your current hatch for the Valterra # A01-2000VP without a problem. I recommend taking your current hatch off to check that you have enough room for the hoses to reach (which you should).

  • What Does Carded Valterra Lockable Dual RV Water Inlet Mean
The only difference between the carded and non-carded Valterra city water inlets that I'm seeing is the "carded" versions come with all of the parts needed for installation like what you can see with the Valterra Lockable Dual RV Water Inlets # A01-2000VP that you were looking at. The ones labeled as "non-carded" don't come with the installation parts.

  • Will Valterra Lockable Dual RV Water Inlets Fit 2023 Escape Trailer
We do not have a way to know if the Valterra Lockable Dual RV Water Inlets # A01-2000VP will fit a 2023 Escape Trailer. What you will need to do is check your cutout dimensions on the trailer itself. This is designed to fit a 5-7/8" wide x 4-3/4" tall cutout. If that is what you have it will fit. If not, you would need to enlarge or fill in the cutout to install the panel.

  • Filling Freshwater Tank on RV Through Valterra City Water Inlet # A01-2000VP
What you'd want to do is use a valve like part # CAM2003 attached to the garden hose you'd use to fill through the tank and then on the opposite end attach the # CAM36601 which you would use to direct the water into the tank.
