I installed this water inlet on a horse trailer that I added living quarters to. Very easy to install with a hole saw, drill bit, some dumb-dumb sealer (gooey grey plumber's putty for RV), and hardware (not included). Works great, no leaks even one year later!
As part of winterization, it's important to press the center of the brass check valve to let the water flow out. Simple procedure, just take the screen out, press the valve to let the water out, put the screen back in, and re-insert the cap.

Good upgrade to my RV
I was dissapointed that it took 2 weeks to get my valve inlet, but it was the post offices mistake. It came to my local post office and for some reason was sent back to where it was shipped from only to be resent a week later. No explanation! Thats the post office! Anyway, like dealing with etrailer, good pricing and normally fast shipping.

It is a high quality product with metal fittings on both ends. It's far better than the plastic part originally installed by Forrest River.
There was a little "side-stepping" going on with this order. When I ordered the part, I was told it would be delivered on the 29th of December. When I inquired about the order after the delivery date, I was told by the second person that the delivery was going to be delayed because the post office was backed up on deliveries. Now if this second person knew all of this, it seems like the person that filled the order would have known it too. Something sounds amiss here. We now have water as the part was delivered and installed today.

Worked great until now. I installed a new water pump with a little more gpm. Since then, the check valve tends to seep. Maybe my bad. Thoughts?
Just got it and put it on. It fit perfectly and I was able to connect it in minutes. My little popup is ready to go again.

Etrailer to the rescue again! They have the right parts and the right price. This fresh water connection inlet was so easy to install. If you can turn a screw driver and connect a garden hose, then you can do this yourself.

I reached out to the manufacturer about the check valve that is seeping. They advised that it would not be the new water pump ad it would be installed after the tank fill to pull water out of a tank. They did provide other possible causes such as the check valve could have cracked or fractured during the winterization and de winterization process. It could also be that a bad hose washer needs to be replaced or it is not seating correctly when attaching the hose. Another possibility is that there is a buildup of debris or corrosion on the spring in the check valve.
