What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we'll be checking out the SECURE-FILL from Valterra. And what this does is; it goes into your fresh water tank to help you fill it up faster and more efficiently. You may be using your fresh water hose just by putting it in there and turn it on. But as you know, if you turn it on full blast, it's going to pop right out easily. So you're going to have to stand here and hold it to try and fill up your tank, and it's going to be way more time consuming.
This is going to help knock that time down. Let's put the tube down in there, then turn the plastic fitting here to lock it in place. And see It's not coming back out. You have a brass fitting here, it's at an angle. That's also going to help from your hose kinking or bending or pinching here.
That way, the water is going to still go up in there. Easily screws in here. And there's a shutoff valve right here.If it starts overflowing and comes out of your overflow filter here, it's going to start coming out of there. You have to run back, turn off the hose real quick. It's still going to be running, or you disconnect the hose and it's going to spray water everywhere.
This also protects you. It's got holes built in the cap. So the extra water it's going to come right back out. You're not going to overfill or over pressurize your tank. To show you what it looks like inside the tank, I went ahead and pulled it out.
I'm going to show you how the valve works. You see, it turns on the hose, water comes back through, look how fast it's coming through. It's going to be down in your tank. It's going to fill up way quicker than it would if you're just having the hose hang or dangle in there. You get some more air out of our hose.This is probably a good idea to do this before you even start filling up your tank anyway. Let the hose run, get all that stuff out of there. Then you just shut them all off. No water is coming out. It's not like it's still trickling out or coming out a bit slower, it's done. It's shut off. There's no water coming out of there. Just come to the side of your rig. Usually labeled fresh water connection. Put this in there again, twist that cap over. Didn't catch that time. We'll push it in 'till it fits in there nice, then twist it. Here you go. Now it's not popping out and we'll throw our valve.So it's filling up the freshwater tank now. Again, here's another shot at that overflow valve. It's going to come out of here when it's completely full along with the cap here. So if it goes over fill, it's just going to start coming out, and you know to just go ahead and shut it down. Just twist the cap off, it's that easy. Now, just in case this is your first adventure, in combination with this, we do have plenty of fresh drinking water hoses on our website, many different sizes and lengths. All rated and appropriate to drink out of, no lead or anything like that involved. I would also recommend getting a water filter that'll connect between this and this. You can just screw this in to the fitting. You could run your hose in through the bottom, that way it filters all that water that you're going to put in your tank so it's safe to drink down the road. I think that does it for our look at the SECURE-FILL. I hope this helped.

Needed one of these a long time ago. Before I stuck water hose in fresh water refill-port. As soon as water was turned on, hose would usually fall out; or our large dogs would bump the hose and knock it out.
Now, it locks into place and fills uneventfully until water vents from holes in cap.

I cut 2” off the tube due to a curve in my inlet.
Installed the unit turned water valve on full pressure and walked away. It’s hands free and worth every penny that I paid for it. Canadian dollars about $32.00 excellent

Definitely helps when trying to manage filling the fresh water tank! Saves a lot of potential headache by keeping the hose connected securely to the tank and allowing water to be turned on and off separately from the water source.

The plastic tube that extends into the RV filler opening tends to fall off. Be care the the tube does not fall into the water tank.

Bought this for a 1995 Fleetwood Flair. It has the water tank under the bed with the full inlet at the same level as the tank. This device improves the ability to fill the tank although the crappy design still has lots of air pressure build up once it gets half full that makes it a pain to get full. This device is definitely worth the money as it helps force water into the tank. You still have to be patient and run it slow to get it full.

Works great. Attaches to fresh water inlet for hands-free feeling of tank. the only drawback and why I didn't give it five stars is can sometimes difficult to remove from tank fitting. Can't imagine trying to fill my tank without this. Seems well-built but the verdict is not in on how long it will last as I've only been using it for about 9 months

FABULOUS - really. By the second time I used it, I better understood how to accurately attach the threaded fitting tightly to my trailer fresh water tank fitting. Once I had conquered that, it made filling my tank so much easier. Honestly, this product has made a huge difference for me. Thank you so much for having it.

Works surprisingly well. It cut my fresh water tank refill times by @60%. I was about to purchase a Secure-Fill until they were withdrawn due to lead content in the product, a no-no for drinking water. Being tired of standing around waiting for filling the old fashioned ways I was beginning to build one on my own when I spotted this one and jumped on it. I can't begin to explain how it performs for me. A great addition to any RV water accessory chest.

Over all it does the job but it’s difficult to put on. In addition the hose was loose and I was afraid it would come off. I had to place wire around it to secure it. Better than jamming a hose down the fill spout.

Nice quality but I dont like the small holes in the bottom of the attachment water leaks out making filling time take longer.Will try and plug them up.
