Today, we're going to take a look at the JR Products City Water Dish with the half inch MPT fitting. Now this city water dish valve will replace a worn or damaged valve on your RV. Basically what happens is if you connect to your city water at your campground and you're leaking water at this connection, you'll probably need to replace the city water dish on your RV because the check valve that's on the inside is usually gone bad, letting the water come back out of your connection.Does use a lead free brass check valve. Let me see if I take this hose washer out and you can see that in the inside. That white portion right there, that's your check valve. Has the half inch MPT fitting to make your connection.
This is UV and impact resistant, does resist road salts and acids. And I did mention it comes with this hose washer and a screen that you can install in there before you hook your hose up there and that'll filter out any debris from the incoming water. It has this nice tethered rubber cap to protect the connection. Just push it in there and it'll help protect that connection when it's not being used.Few dimensions on this, the outside diameter from one edge to the other is right at four and three quarter inches. The cutout portion, which is this middle indented portion, it's right at three and a half inches.
The dish depth, just the black dish is about three quarters of an inch. And including the valve depth all the way to the back here, it's about two and a half inches deep. You can see it's a nice black color. But again, you just pop that off, make your city water connection, screw it right in there. But that should do it for the review on the JR Products City Water Dish with the half inch MPT fitting..

Friendly, courteous, and supportive in my order. Everyone was knowledgable and I received 5 emails updating me on the stages of ordering through delivery. I have used etrailer before and will again.
So far it seems to be an acceptable replacement, however, when the system is under pressure from the water pump, a bit of water dribbles out through this inlet valve. Hopefully that doesn't mean that the check valve is defective or will fail soon.
