Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the replacement rubber dust plug. This is just going to plug up your city water inland so you can keep out any dust, dirt, or debris from getting in there and causing any issues. A lot of times these covers can wear out or get torn up over time. Start to fade in the sun, so not a bad idea to just go ahead and replace it and keep everything nice and clean inside that plug.

So this is just going to replace one of those. It's going to be a rubber construction that's also UV resistant and should be pretty universal for most of your city water fill plugs. It's going to also resist any kind of damage from road salts and acids that you might encounter while you're out on the road, like battery acid or anything like that. So it shouldn't be any issues, should stay looking nice for a long time and keeping that plug from any other debris getting in there.So you get a total length going from the tip to kind of the center of the hole here. It's about five inches long.

The inner diameter of our end here is about 7/8 of an inch, but it does stretch so it can probably fit up to an inch diameter. And then this portion has an outer diameter of roughly an inch and 1/16 so it should also fit into an inch size plug. The inner diameter just for giggles is about 3/4 of an inch there, so that inner lip, 3/4 of an inch across outer lip, just barely over an inch in diameter. Comes in black, and that's pretty much it as far as our replacement rubber dust plug.
