Video Transcript for Camco Propane - Regulators - CAM59333 Review

Today we're gonna take a look at the Camco horizontal two stage propane regulator with the POL connector. Now this will mount inline between the supply and your motor home LP gas lines to provide regulated gas pressure. The propane regulator will maintain a constant gas pressure from your campers propane tank, it's a two stage which ensures a nice smooth consistent flow of gas, and it is a horizontal mount design in other words it will be mounted this way, you can see your vent right here would be facing towards the ground. The inlet right here has a male POL connector and the outlet on this one has a three-eighths inch female NPT connector. This does maintain a constant 11 inches of water column propane pressure, it is rated for 160,000 BTU per hour, and it is also CSA listed. That should do it for the review on the Camco horizontal two stage propane regulator with the POL connector.

Bought to use it on a 100 lb tank for Ventless Wall Heater in garage. Worked perfectly. Great communication from Order confirmation to delivery.

by:

I like the design of the regulator. Its similar to the old one. But with the black handle grip it allows me to hook up to any propane tank. With out the use of wrench. Makes life easier. Good product

by:

I have a small trailer I have been renovating. The original regulator was old and I replaced it and the supply hose about a year ago. This one looked closest to the one that was on there. It was a fairly simple install and it is easy to switch out tanks with the ferrule you can just tighten by hand. As always e-trailer is great. i love their videos.

As always, etrailer.com has delivered a good product efficiently!
Here's hoping that this Camco 2-State Propane Regulator works as it should.

  • Adapter Fitting Needed To Connect A Regulator To A Propane Tank
Typically a POL fitting will connect to your RV's propane tank and RV regulators normally have a 1/4" NPT inlet so the Propane Tank Connector Fitting - Soft Nose POL x 1/4" Male NPT # 37207-30075 you were already looking at would be the correct adapter fitting. If you have a different fitting type on your regulator or propane tank and can't identify them then please send in some pictures and I can identify them for you. You are going to want to ensure that the vent on your regulator is...

  • Propane Regulator Compatible with Tankless Water Heater 157,000 BTU
You can use a propane tank for the BTUs needed and simply use the appropriate fittings and regulator. For the regulator, I recommend the Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator w/ P.O.L - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59333 you referenced which has an 11 inch water column. If you don't have the POL fitting, then I recommend the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59313 or the horizontal 2-Stage # CAM59323 which can use the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4"...

  • Recommendation For Propane Regulator And Propane Hose For 100 Gallon Propane Tank
What you need will depend on what you have. For a regulator, I recommend the Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Regulator, Item # CAM59333, or the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Regulator, Item # CAM59313. If your 100 gallon tank is an ASME that is generally installed in a motorhome then you will need a horizontal regulator like Item # CAM59333. If the tank is not installed in a motorhome then you will likely need a vertical regulator like Item # CAM59313. Both regulators maintain a constant 11 inch w.c....

  • Regulator Recommendation for 100 lb Propane Tank
The Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59333 would work well for you as it has the standard 1/4" NPT inlet and 3/8" NPT outlet like what a 100 lb propane tank would have and would need to feed the stove and gas lights you mentioned. I attached a picture that shows what it looks like installed on a 100 lb tank as well.

  • Can Camco Propane Regulator for POL Connectors be Used on 40 Pound DOT Tank
As long as your tank has the threads on the inside of its connector the Camco regulator # CAM59333 works for you. Also, make sure the hose going out of the regulator is a 3/8 inch MPT. The 12 feet isn't an issue. Keep in mind the POL connector on this regulator is a left hand thread.

  • Is it Better to Use a Single-Stage or a Two-Stage Regulator for Your Appliances
Though your heater unit has a built-in regulator, it is only capable of handling a very narrow flow rate range. For this reason, it's best to not consider an appliance's built-regulator as a replacement for the second stage for a two-stage regulator. I recommend going with a two-stage regulator as they are going to ensure that the flow rate going to your appliances is a constant 11" water column pressure. The regulator that you referenced, part # CAM59013, is a single-stage and best used...
