Is Front To Back Movement to be Expected on the Thule Roadway # TH9058?
Question:
I just installed my new Camber rack. I noticed that there is ~1/4inch of front to back play in the tilt joint with the post locked upright. Is this normal? Otherwise the rack feels very solid.

There will be some play front to back in the Thule Camber rack # TH9058. It sounds like you are getting the normal amount especially if it's only about 1/4 an inch. I've linked a video demonstration of this rack going through our test course for you to see the slight play to compare it to yours.
The reason for the movement is the hinge system. There is a small amount of play there and that translates into a movement of the rack.
