Will the Thule Camber 2 Tilt Far Enough to Allow Motorhome Slide Out to Be Opened

Question:

We are looking for a rack that will work on the back of our 2021 class c RV. It is a Thor coach with a rear slide out. Would either a tilt or swing away work? Thanks

You could easily carry the Thule Camber 2 # TH9058, which is a tilt away rack, but I don't think a swing away rack would make any difference on an RV since it would likely not swing far enough to get out of the way of the slide out. I can't tell you for sure whether or not you'll be able to tilt the rack away and still open the slide all the way since it depends on how far it comes out. The Camber 2 tilts back at a 45 degree angle, but it's tough to know if it will drop low enough to clear your slide-out.

With all that said, the Camber 2 is only 28-lbs and can easily be removed from the hitch receiver when not in use and because the rack can be made to be fairly compact, it will store in a small area. This will allow you to be able to put it somewhere out of the way that doesn't take up much storage while you're at your location.
