As advertised, great old school customer service! Bought to alleviate very slight rattle on hitch for our Road Toad teardrop trailer. Highly recommend etrailer.com for your needs. They modified my order quickly over the phone in a very pleasant customer experience.

by:

Used it two times does not stay latched. Found a much better solution on one that has a lip on the crossbar for the ubolt. It has functioned very well. The Curt clamp now lives in a drawer in the garage.

2023 Honda Pilot EX-L Curt custom 4 way flat wiring connector etrailer # C48ZV. Step No.5 in the Curt instructions needs to be ignored, there is no need for a new power wire to the vehicle battery. The curt converter box gets power from the vehicle wiring. When connecting the white curt connector to the vehicle connector the release clip on the curt connector goes on the right side. Had to use a borescope to figure this out. One 30 amp fuse needs to be added in main fuse box position 7 and one 20 amp fuse needs to be added in main fuse box position 12. The Curt instructions do not include this. Used a 3/16 machine screw and locknut to secure ground wire to existing hole in steel support after removing trim panel in front of storage area.

Not worth buying. The cam system doesn’t provide enough range, so you end up needing a wrench to tighten or loosen it. Also, I was using it with a 75lb load distributing hitch that I can’t handle with one hand, and I found I had to fully loosen the anti-rattle device to prevent it binding up as I tried to remove or insert the hitch.

by:

I used it flat towing a full size chevy truck behind motorcoach and it did not do well.
It came apart.

That is not good. Luckily, there is a lifetime warranty on this product. I have sent your information over to our customer service department to look into this possible warranty for you.

by:

It works like it supposed to you. Once you get it set up on your hitch you don’t hear any more rattles.

This product does keep the hitch from rattling and bumping when starting and stopping. You need to install it properly.

by:

Not as easy to install as I had hoped, but it does reduce the rattling of my hitch significantly.

by:

Works as advertised. There are little plastic disc spacers/washers the degraded and fell off but it doesn't impact the functionality. Used for a very light utility trailer to reduce some of the rattling.

by:

The idea of having a threaded handle is a great idea because of the ease of taking it off and on without a wrench. However, it didn't work well for me as I couldn't get it to tighten enough to make it quit rattling. I finally took the handle off and simply put another nut on in its place. This is not a good product.

by:

Good design. Mounts much faster than my previous anti-rattle device which requires a wrench to tighten two bolts.

The downside is the design of the Genesis GV80 and trailer hitch prevents upright mounting of the clamp. There’s not enough clearance to operate the clamp. Simply inverting the clamp works but requires reaching underneath to dismount.

by:

I was skeptical when I purchased this but after reading about it and using it I was impressed! It actually worked and there was NO more rattling of my hitch!! Great item/product!!!

by:

Continues to eliminate the hitch rattle. The coating did start to allow some minor rust. The rust surprised me because eastern Tennessee where I now live, does not use much salt.

Michael

8/26/2023

The product continues to perform well. It is in the weather all the time. The minor surface rust has not gotten much worse.

by:

Rusts and corrodes easily. Used mine once and removed right afterwards and it now is unusable.

by:

I had several different kinds of these, this was the quickest & easiest to use

Frederick

#rd one Ive tried, by far the easiest to use and works well

by:

Great place for all your rv needs, great prices, great customer service

by:

Easy installation just like demo.

The anti-rattle device was easy to install and works well. Keeps the rattle down even on bumpy roads.

by:

Works ok, but I had to replace the nylon washer with a stainless one after the nylon failed.

by:

I purchased this device because it would be easy to transfer between vehicle's. It works fine for awhile, but becomes loose on long drives. Going to try adding a lock washer on the left side and see if that helps

by:

Crusted and rusted, more of an eye sore now.

by:

will not work well for a ram truck with standard bumper can't get it tight

I am happy to look into this for you. I wanted to ask if it was possible to send a picture of the clamp installed?

I think that with your hitch tucked under the bumper that the u bolt style anti rattle device is not the best option. You might be able to turn it upside down and see if it tightens this way.

by:

It kinda works, but I not great. When you try and clamp it down it grinds aluminum to aluminum. So you have to try and lube the lever to the clamp. It really doesn’t keep the hitch from banging with a trailer on. It works great if it’s just the hitch and your on bumpy roads to keep it from rattling but not with a loaded trailer.

by:

I like that they are fairly easy to use. I found that it tends to loosen.

by:

No more rattle or noise from tongue and ball! Highly recommended

by:

This Curt clamp works as advertised and after installing it upside down to clear the Canyon bumper cover, it was a cinch to adjust and provide anti-rattle protection for my hitch. It is very easy to install and tighten without the use of a single tool. Great product!

Great product that ends the dreaded hitch ball mount rattle. Heartily recommend as an inexpensive fix and it looks great while keeping things quiet.

by:

Didn't work great on my 2017 F350 while using a Weight Safe hitch. Just didn't fit great, too small even with a 2" reciever. Unit also deteriorated rather quickly and corroded quickly. I no longer use this and have switched brands.

  • Is Stabilizing Strap Needed For Curt Hitch C13206 or Will Clamp be Okay
Thanks so much for your purchase, and I can tell you that the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap # 18050 is not a requirement for use with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13206. While Curt does recommend the use of the strap, it is not needed in order to maintain the warranty. A clamp is an excellent idea for stability, so definitely continue to use a clamp like the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer # e99007 or Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp # C27UR.

  • How To Determine Compatibility of Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp
The Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp part # C27UR is compatible with any vehicle that 1) has a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening and 2) has a collar around the outside of the receiver tube opening. If your vehicle has both of these things then it should work well but Curt does not offer vehicle specific testing unfortunately. If you would like to send a photo of your hitch I would be glad to see if I can offer any further fit info.

Your 2020 Artic Fox must have between 400lbs and 1,100lbs of tongue weight to properly operate the torsion hitch. • Extended Ball Mount For Towing an Enclosed Trailer Behind a Motorhome
I have a couple options for you as the Curt High-Low Adapter 45797 # C27KR is only designed to be used with tow bars when flat towing. The Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2-5/16" Ball # C45065 is only 9-1/4" long from the receiver hitch pin hole to the ball mount hole. The Curt Ball Mount # D-28 also has a 6" drop like the other Curt ball mount but this mount is 14-1/4" long from the receiver pin to ball mount hole. That would gain you 5 inches without using an adapter. The ball mount...

  • Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2003 Ford E-450 RV Cutaway Chassis
The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 33055 is the part you are looking for to fit your 2003 Ford E-450 RV Cutaway chassis. I recommend using a etrailer Rubber Hitch Cover # 22282 to cut down on the whistle that often comes from having an open receiver tube. If you are using this for a carrier the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp # C27UR will allow you to remove the excess play so your carrier isn't rattling around while you drive.

To go with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13316 on your 2011 BMW X3 I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236. This powered converter will connect to the battery for the power that goes to the trailer lights. This will prevent the vehicle wiring from being overloaded due to the excess draw that a non powered converter will cause. The Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover # 63080 is only designed to be used on Draw-Tite 2" Receivers. I have seen customer reviews...

No, both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13416 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e23ZR do not have a threads in the hitch pin hole for a threaded hitch pin lock. That being said we do offer a variety of anti-rattle devices, like the Curt # C27UR, which can be used to prevent whatever accessory you have in the hitch from rattling.

  • Is There a Replacement U-Bolt for the Brophy Stabilizer Clamp and U-Bolt for 2" Hitch Receiver
I do have an option for you but we don't offer a replacement u-bolt for the Brophy Stabilizer Clamp and U-Bolt for 2" Hitch Receiver part # RSCP. The item is honestly pretty cost effective from the go so even if it were available, a new u-bolt would run you just slightly less than a new assembly and this option gets you new nuts and plate. That said, I think now might be a good time to upgrade to a tool-less design, the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp for 2" Hitches part # C27UR.

The anti-rattle bracket that comes with the Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender # MPG907 isn't a necessity but it is good to have as it reduces the amount of movement you'll see with the extender so I definitely recommend using it. You can also swap it out for a tool-free anti-rattle device like the Curt # C27UR or Brophy # RHSB to help speed things up. Attached are some review videos for you to check out.
