Using A Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution With Gen-Y Weight Distribution Shank

Question:

1st question. Can the y gen be installed upright and upside down depending on the amount of rise needed? We have a 2020 arctic fox with the ball height at roughly 28-29 inch . 2021 gmc Sierra tow vehicle. So i need a lot of rise to keep camper level. 2nd question. Can the y gen be used with the curt trutrack weight distribution hitch 10k gross 1k tongue weight which i now have. I now have a cap on my truck and looking to consider some more shock absorbing in my set up. We usually take a long summer trip so smooth driving is ideal. I originally had the reese strait line weight distribution. But consistently dealt with sway so i decided to go with the curt trutrack and it was a night and day difference.

Yes, the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # GY54FR can be mounted in either orientation to provide more rise or drop. It will have a gauge on both sides of the hitch so that you can uses in either orientation and clearly see the gauge. Your 2020 Artic Fox must have between 400lbs and 1,100lbs of tongue weight to properly operate the torsion hitch.

Yes, your Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 will work with the Gen-Y weight distribution shank. It shares the same 1-1/4" vertical bolt hole separation.

I do recommend using a Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp # C27UR to reduce the free play in the hitch and receiver to allow the torsion shank to work properly and smooth your ride.
