The Reese Universal rails were actually my second choice, because the rails made specifically for my Tundra would have been back-ordered for several weeks (due to availability). I had to install the hitch and pick up my 5th wheel right away and could not wait, so I went with the Reese rails. However, the Toyota service center that installed them said they were a good product and they did not have any difficulty installing them in the same time period that would have been required for the other Tundra specific rails. I am very pleased with this product and especially the helpful service that I got from etrailer to meet my timing demands.

Regular cab two door 4x4 5.7 Tundra pulling a 7500lb Grand design 28’ 5th wheel easily. Great hitch. Strong, durable, worth every penny. I paid a couple hundred to a body shop/ mechanic to install. They had no problem.

Ordering process was easy and received quickly. The installation instructions were easy to follow and understand. Installation went fairly quick at around 4.5 hrs.

I think the product was very good as a matter of fact it was better than anticipated. You may want to consider letting prospective buyers know the gage thickness of these rails Its like an injustice to them because the picture does not say a thousand words. Also it would be helpful if you had a giude that would prompt you as to how far apart to insta the second rail. Incidentally I had read a review and the gentleman stated that it took him 4 hrs and he didnt need the instructions. Dont believe him. The best part about ordering from you was the constant follow up. Thanks for every thing

  • 5th Wheel Towing Capacity of 2007 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Cab
I suggest you check your owner's manual to confirm your Tundra's towing capacity since this can vary a lot based on engine, drive train bed length and whether any tow package upgrades have been installed. I think the 1475-lb figure you found may be a payload capacity, not a towing capacity. I reviewed an online edition of the owner's manual for the 2007 Toyota Tundra and on page 581 there is a Towing Capacity chart for the CrewMax cab version. I have linked that chart for your reference....

  • Which Fifth Wheel Custom Fit Kit Do I Need for My 2010 Toyota Tundra
I have a solution for you, but the brackets and hardware for the RBW Lil Rocker are no longer available. The manufacturer, RBW no longer exists. You may be able to find some used parts for it but new parts are no longer available and I wouldn't recommend using used parts to install your fifth wheel hitch. I recommend using a new installation kit with new rails and brackets. Using a universal kit with rails that it wasn't intended to be used with, like the rails from your Lil Rocker,...

  • What is the Correct Drill Bit Size to Install Base Rail Kit # RP30035-309 on a 2018 Toyota Tundra
The start of the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035-309 instructions are universal. Since the instructions for your 2018 Toyota Tundra say to use a 9/16" drill bit and this is only 1/32" larger than 17/32" I would just use the 9/16" drill bit. Either drill bit will work though since the bolts have a 1/2" diameter.

  • Parts Needed to Install Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, # RP30439 on 2011 Toyota Tundra 6-1/2 Foot Bed
The Reese Universal Installation Kit (No Base Rails) - 10 Bolt, part # RP30439, is just the universal installation brackets. The Reese Universal Base Rails - 10 Bolt, part # RP58058, will be the base rails that are used with the Reese brackets # RP30439. If you need the universal brackets and the universal base rails together you would use the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP30035. On a 2011 Toyota Tundra 4x4 with a 6-1/2 foot bed you will also need the Reese...

  • 5th Wheel Hitch/Install Kit for 2008 Toyota Tundra w/5-1/2 Foot Bed, Trailer w/Revolution Pin Box
For your 2008 Toyota Tundra with 5-1/2 foot bed you can use the semi-custom installation kit # RP30035-309. I have included a link to the installation instructions to the right. Then all you need is a hitch. Since the trailer weighs only 7,500 pounds you can use a 16K hitch such as # RP30047, which will provide you with a much more secure dual jaw connection. I have linked video reviews of both hitches for you. Pro Series is also made by Reese. As to where you can get these parts, well...

  • Recommendation For Fifth Wheel Hitch to Tow 12,000-Lb Jayco Fifth Wheel With a 2010 Toyota Tundra
On your 2010 Toyota Tundra Regular Cab, choosing the correct fifth wheel hitch to tow your 12,000-lb fifth wheel will depend on the bed size of your regular cab. If you have the 8 foot bed I would recommend the Reese 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch, part # RP30047, with the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP30035-309. If you have the 6-1/2 foot bed I would recommend the Reese 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch, part # RP30051, with the same Reese # RP30035-309 installation kit. This...

Fifth wheel trailer hitch installation kit # RP30035-309 will fit all bed lengths of the 2007 Toyota Tundra. I recommend a step up using # RP30047. This is a 16K hitch with a double jaw instead of a slide bar. You will have better contact with the king pin for less movement and noise. If your truck has the 5-1/2 foot bed then you will have to use a Sidewinder in order to make tight turns and will require wedge kit # SWW-03. In order to determine if there is a Sidewinder that will fit...

  • Compatibility of Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection w/ 2015 Toyota Tundra Crewmax
The Andersen Ultimate Connection you referenced, part # AM3200 isn't meant to be used in trucks with beds shorter than 6 feet. The only safe way to tow a fifth wheel with your Crewmax would be to use a standard (non sliding) fifth wheel hitch and a Reese Sidewinder installed in place of your original pin box. If you don't already have bed rails in your truck, you can install them using part # C16304-200. The hitch you'll need will depend on the weight of your fifth wheel. The non-sliding...

  • Can a 5th Wheel Trailer Be Towed by a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max with 5-1/2 Foot Bed
First, the Convert-A-Ball adapter, # CAB-C5GX1216, is designed for towing a 5th wheel trailer if the truck has a gooseneck trailer hitch. If your truck has a gooseneck hitch using an adapter will make the trailer further back if there is an offset, however, since the pivot point of the trailer does not change, you will not get extra clearance to make tight turns, something that is a necessity for camp grounds and other places where space is limited. Yes, a fifth wheel hitch can be used with your 2017 Toyota Tundra with a 5'7" bed, although it will require the use of a Sidewinder to replace the king pin on your fifth wheel trailer. You will need to know the model of your pin box as the Sidewinder you'll need will be a direct replacement. For example, Sidewinder # RP34FR is a replacement for these pin boxes: Fabex 663 and 665, Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD, as well as M&M 663 and 665. I did some rough calculations and based on what I have found I do not think you will be able to tow a 96 inch wide trailer even with a Sidewinder. However, you will want to take some measurements yourself just to be sure. Find the center line of the rear axle and then measure forward 3-1/2 inches. From that point measure to the back of the truck cab. Then add 22 inches for the clearance provided by the Sidewinder. That measurement will have to be at least 52 inches or more for you to safely...

The correct hitch for your needs will depend on the weight of the 5th wheel and which features are important to you. You will want to choose a hitch whose weight capacity exceeds the fully-loaded and ready to tow weight of your 5th wheel. At the next level, the Reese 16K # RP30047 uses a double jaw to secure the king pin.
