Brackets and Mounting Hardware to Install ProSeries 15K 5th Wheel in 2013 Toyota Tundra

Question:

My grandfather had a pro series 15k 5th wheel hitch installed on his 94 dodge ram 1500 2wd 6 foot bed. Im considering installing the hitch on my 2013 toyota tundra. Obviously I have the hitch and the base rails. I only would like to order new bolts and brackets to install the hitch. Do you have this available. And a price? Part number? Thank you.

You have several options for 5th wheel installation kits for your 2013 Toyota Tundra to enable use of your ProSeries 15K 5th wheel hitch.

The part you referenced, Reese Universal Base Rail Kit # RP30035-309, is one option. Universal kits like this are cost-effective but require more drilling and take more time to install than semi-custom or custom kits. This kit will work with all bed lengths. If you prefer reduced drilling and install time you may prefer custom install kit # RP50084-58 which will also work with all bed lengths. I have included an article with hitch installation tips for your reference.

If your truck has a short box we suggest a Sidewinder replacement pin box be installed on your 5th wheel trailer to provide better clearance at the cab for making tight turns, unless your hitch is a slider-type. A Sidewinder moves the pivot point rearward by 22-inches for better turning clearance. Both standard and air-cushioned Sidewinders are available and these are selected based on the original pin box number from the trailer. The linked article includes a pin box cross-reference table to help you match up a replacement that will bolt on directly.

You may also need a wiring harness for your 5th wheel; you can use plug in harness # C56000 from Curt that still allows use of the factory 7-way. If you need towing mirrors you can use the drop-down menu on the link provided to select your Tundra's style of mirror to see suitable options.
