Erickson Car Tie Down Straps - EM58522

  • Wheel Net
  • 2001 - 3500 lbs
  • Erickson
  • 1 Strap

Designed for 14" - 29" tires, this Erickson tie-down kit includes a short-handle ratchet with hook that makes operation in close quarters easy. 10,000 lbs max load.

Features:

  • 2" Cam buckle allows the webbing to be shortened or lengthened
    • Ensures that the strap is in the correct location on both large and small tires
  • Heavy, 4" wide webbing goes over the top of the tire from one side to the other
  • Short-handle ratchet for tightening in cramped corners

Specs:

  • Fits: 14" - 29" tires
  • Strap width: 4"
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 3,333 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 10,000 lbs

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

The tie downs are tricky to work with. Care must be taken when installing the tie downs over the tires. If you inadvertently hook a piece of the suspension
when capturing the tire and pull the rachet tight it will come loose.
For me I used a tie down on all four wheels, one front came loose. did not lose anything but the tiedown.

Works great, easy to use

by:

They were easy to install on my Honda Pioneer 1000 tires and ratcheted down tight. I checked them after traveling 200 miles and they were still snug and no movement of my Honda. So far I like them and they are easy to install and and easy to remove.

by:

I really like the straps they work gre at

Great

by:

Customer service is always first class. Technicians are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond with some of my questions. These are my go-to people!

by:

I have yet to find anything to match this tie-down. I've tied down 4-wheelers and pickups with this great tie-down without any scares or movement of the wheels on the trailer. It's stout, adjustable and affords piece of mind when strong-arm tightening these down as you watch the anchor points on your trailer stretching to meet the ratchet pull!

by:

These straps worked great for securing the front wheels to the trailer bed. I used forged eye bolts to fasten them to the bed and frame for extra strength. They can be adjusted so the buckle for the tire size can be placed on either side of the tire.

by:

The tie down straps appear to be top quality and though I haven't used them yet, I tried fitting them over the wheel and they fit perfectly. I just bought a new car hauler and will be using these two straps to tie down my Suburban's front wheels. I really like how quickly the items where shipped and how well they were packaged.

by:

Erickson Tie Down Straps work very well and are easy to use once adjusted to fit the tire.

by:

I have an older tow dolly which used chains and a screw tensioner. I wanted to update it and found exactly what I needed with the ratchet wheel net with hooks.

by:

This tie down worked great. I use it to hold down my sand rail in my toy hauler. It works great on wide tires. It is adjustable to different size tires.

by:

I bought the tie downs because it said for tight spaces... Still not short enough for my Impala. It hits the front cowling and can't lift enough to undo the strap.

by:

i bought these straps for a race car hauler and have used them for a year .they work great and to me are a good value

by:

This is going to really secure my vehicle in my trailer along with the other item I purchased from you. I might want to order another one for another vehicle. Shipping was so quick! Thank you!

by:

this is a great tie down,,,,,,,,,,,, i use them on my wildcat sxs an they work great

by:

Great product well made you do have to set tie down points close to the wheels.

by:

Got the tiedown wheel net. It was as described and good quality.

by:

These wheel nets work great for securing my Polaris General down while hauling.

by:

Very happy with these straps, they will provide secure restraint and rated well over the weights of the vehicles I'll be hauling.

by:

I would like instructions to come with the device.

by:

Order arrived quickly and was as expected. Have not had a chance to use the straps yet but they appear of good quality.

by:

Good, strong, fully adjustable and a great price. I would definitely recommend this product.

by:

  • Is Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net # EM58522 a Single Strap or a Pair
The Erickson Adjustable Ratcheting Wheel Net # EM58522 is a single tie-down strap. It offers a safe working load limit (WLL) of 3333-lbs and can be used with any tire size from 14- to 29-inches. Straps should always be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The item being towed must not exceed the WLL of the strap being used. To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the tow strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load.

  • Recommended Wheel Net's for a Trailer w/ Stake Pockets
No, those are intended to be used on D-rings. To use with stake pockets the ProGrip Adjustable Wheel Net item # 317-18900 would most likely needed to be pulled through and connected to itself. They would rub the entire length of your trip along the bottom of the stake pocket. Instead, I recommend using the Erickson Adjustable Ratcheting Wheel Net w/ Hooks item # EM58522. These have hooks that will attach directly to your stake pockets. These fit 14" - 29" tires and have a 3,333 lbs capacity....

  • Wheel Straps to Tie Down a Polaris Range EV
For use with D-ring tie downs you could use wheel net # EM58522 with your Polaris Ranger. It has a safe working load limit of 3,333 pounds and break strength of 10,000 pounds. The Pack'Em Wheel Tie-Down Kit for Truck Beds and Trailers # PK-WTD would be a great option to secure your Polaris Range in a trailer or truck bed. It would not use D-rings though. It comes with the parts needed to make it functional including mounting hardware. It has a capacity of 800 pounds so 2 are recommended....

  • What Hardware Should I Use to Install Erickson E-Tracks
Yes. A 304 or 18-8 bolt (which have the same makeup) will be sufficient to mount the Erickson E-Tracks and carry your 1700-lbs UTV. I would also recommend using a the E-Track Backing Plate # e96RR to add strength and improve tie-down support. If you also need some wheel chocks that fit in these E-tracks, the Erickson E-Chock Wheel Chock # EM09162-2 make a great addition to your new E-track setup since they fit directly into the Erickson E-tracks and provide a solution to eliminate movement...

  • Tire Strap Recommendation for 19" Wheel
The Erickson Adjustable Ratcheting Wheel Net w/ Hooks # EM58522 is great for your application as it fits 14" - 29" tires and has a safe working load limit (WLL) of 3,333 lbs. This comes with hooks to secure the vehicle to the towing product so you need to make sure that part is compatible. If you have a tow dolly that uses specific straps just let me know what tow dolly you have, and if we carry it I can see if we have the proper straps for you.

  • Wheel Net for a Tow Dolly and Chrysler Town & Country
Erickson wheel net # EM58522 is your best bet. It fits tire diameters of 14 to 29 inches. Before and after tightening the wheel net make sure that it is clear of any suspension or other components on the vehicle. When properly secured the strap should stay in place and last a good long while.

  • Do Tie-Down Points/E-Track Need to Be Installed to Secure Arctic Cat to 4 x 8 Foot Utility Trailer
You wouldn't need to install dedicated tie down points into the trailer floor, your Arctic Cat can be secured to the trailer, but I'd rather see you use a combination of the # EM58522 wheel nets and for the front wheels and axle straps like # 88509 and ratchet straps such as part # EM51330 for the rear axle. The J-Hooks from the wheel nets could attach to the front underside of the trailer, and the axles straps and ratchet straps could secure the rear.

  • Recommended Tie-Down Method for Trucks On Trailer
With straps going from front of vehicle to front of trailer and back of vehicle to back of trailer, you are basically immobilizing the truck. If you were to run straps from the rear axle to the middle and front axle to the middle you are basically doing the same thing but you are putting more stress on centering the load weight. Both are methods of stabilizing and immobilizing the load, but the trailer will play a big part in what may be the better choice. Centering the load so you have...
