Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this ComeUp cable tensioner for the ComeUp DV-12, DV-15 and the DV-18 winches. Now, lots of times the wire rope on your winch is always trying to unspool itself off of the winch drum, or when you wind it back in, it doesn't stay on the drum correctly. So what this winch tensioner does, this is bolted to your winch, and this is designed to help hold the wire rope in place on the drum and also push the rope down against the drum so that it winds in one layer at a time, helps prevent accidental unspooling. Basically, it uses this spring loaded bar. You can see there, has the two springs that'll push up against the rope and keeps it in place to make sure it lays down uniformly.
As we mentioned, the tensioner will attach to the winch, and then this round bar right up here is what goes up against the wire rope and keeps the spring tension on it using these dual springs right here. Now, if you need to relieve the tension on it, to adjust the wire or anything, all you have to do is lift the bar right here and then you can hold the bar out of the way, and then you can adjust the rope how you need it. Now again, this part is designed to work with the ComeUp DV-12, the DV-15 and the DV-18 model winches. Those winches we do sell separately on our website. But that should do it for the review on the ComeUp cable tensioner for the DV-12, DV-15 and DV-18 winches.
