Video Transcript for Fulton Camper Jack - Stabilizer Jack - FSJ1-SJ2 Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack with Mounting Channel. The drop-leg jack is great for quick load leveling and stabilizing. Once this piece right here is welded to the trailer frame, all you have to do is pull out the included pin and clip and then you can lower that drop leg and get it adjusted to wherever you need it. Once you have it set, simply line up the holes, place in the pin and secure it with the clip. Really nice, easy to use design. The drop-leg is going to be made from a steel construction.

That's kind of a zinc plating, so that's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. The outer tube is a steel construction as well. It is ready for welding. The kit's going to include your outer tube, your drop-leg, and the adjustment pin. Again, it is a weld-on installation. Capacity is 3,000 pounds.

The drop-leg length from the bottom of the foot plate to the very top of the drop-leg tube is 29 inches. The outer tube, that's this piece right here, that's a two-inch by two-inch tube. It measures 13 inches long. The drop-leg tube measures 1 3/4 inch by 1 3/4 inch, so that's a square design as well. Now, it does have the foot plate that's already pre-welded to it.

That's going to do a great job at spreading out the applied weight, especially on softer surfaces to help prevent sinking. It's going to measure about 7 1/2 inches long by 3 7/8 of an inch wide, so it's a nice large design. A few other things that I want to mention for you real quick, you'll notice that you're going to have a bottom hole right here. That's going to be the fully stowed or travel position. You're going to have multiple adjustment holes. The distance between the top adjustment hole and the bottom adjustment hole is 16 inches on center, and then the incremental height adjustment center on center is two inches.

The distance between this hole right here and the travel position hole, that's going to measure 7 1/4 inches apart on center. From the center of the lowest adjustment hole to the bottom of the foot plate is nine inches. From the center of the top adjustment hole to the bottom of the foot plate is 25 inches, and then from the center of that stowed position hole or travel position hole to the bottom of the foot plate's going to be 1 3/4 of an inch. Again, really nice, easy to use design. This piece gets welded on to the trailer frame and then that drop-leg can slide inside of that outer tube and it's just very easy to adjust, and it's just a very quick, efficient way for leveling and stabilizing. That's going to do it for today's look at the Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack with the included weld-on mounting channel.

Beautifully made and a solid drop leg. Do I need to say more? You get what you pay for.

Product was exactly what I was looking for. Only issue is the one square latch pin is missing.

by:

I purchased two of these and welded them on the back of my trailer to keep it from squatting when I load my tractor.

working out great keeps chipper very stable

Simple is the key. Nice product and super simple.Drop them down in back and raise your jack a bit and you are stable. Well maybe you aren't stable but your trailer is. No handles to get in the way or lose. Nothing to catch on a low spot and rip off (don't ask me how I know under mount stablizers can be torn off.) These guys are great to buy from. Shipping was super fast and their web site even demonstrates most products. FANTASTIC!!!!!

by:

We ordered these for our off-road trailer which needed considerable height to stabilize. These are well-built and ideal for our purposes!
Rather than weld the sleeve, we opted for square u-bolts and simply painted the sleeve to match the trailer.
Fast shipping and a great product!

Fulton drop down stabilizer jack was just what I needed to stabilize a military surplus M1102 trailer. Because the M1102 trailer is aluminum except for the frame the lifting support tubes were utilized along with an extra outer tube to slide into the frame of the trailer.

Great products folks, Thanks again.

by:

Received product very quickly, packaged well, can't wait to get it mounted to the trailer. It's a heavy duty design and it's not a lightweight unit. My only concern is that it only came with a 3/8" safety pin when the holes are over .5".

by:

This will work perfectly on my overlander trailer...once I get it installed, ha.

by:

Ordered stabilizers and one part was missing. Called seller --very courteous and friendly--immediately sent missing part. great to deal with .

The ETrailer team was very helpful in getting my purchase in a timely manner

The "Drop-Leg Stabilizer" works great! I needed a way to stabilize my cord wood hauling trailer when loading it up. The Legs are very sturdy. The channel portion (which is welded to the trailer frame) will need to be painted to avoid rusting. Overall - very pleased.

by:

Good quality drop leg and tube. But the pin is undersized for the hole. 1/2" hole with 5/16" pin, a lot of slop. Easily fixed with a new pin but should've been supplied with the correct pin.

by:

I had to weld 2 pieces of flat iron on it so I could bolt it on the trailer tongue

by:

I welded a pair of these onto my 6 x 12 tandem axle trailer near the rear end to add support when loading heavy equipment. They do what they are intended to do. I knocked one point off because I had to drill drain holes in the bottom center myself, and then get some zinc cold galvanizing paint to treat the new holes. It would have been so easy for the manufacturer to include drain holes since they already punched some random holes in the base plate (just not in the center where they were needed to drain). they do appear to have a grade 8 galvanization on them, but if you are installing them where water can get in them, make sure to add drain holes. I'm at a loss as to where one might use these where water wouldn't get into them.

Product is as advertised. I've welded the stabilizers to my trailer but changed the hitch pins to the next the next larger size. My max load will be in the neighborhood of 5000 lbs and I wanted to give These stabilizers the best chance for success.

  • Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack with Mounting Channel Installation
I looked up your invoice and the Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack with Mounting Channel # FSJ1-SJ2 you purchased can be welded wherever best fits your application. The outer tube can be welded to your 6 inch square tube frame wherever it suits you. You will want to account for the stowed position and the amount of drop you need. I recommend welding the full 6 inches of your frame where the outer tube makes contact with it for best function and strength.

  • Availability of 24 Inch or 30 Inch Stabilizer Jack
It sounds like you are looking for a drop-leg stabilizer like the Fulton # FSJ1-SJ2. This particular stabilizer jack featurs a drop-leg length of 28-3/4 inches, with height adjustments between 25 inches and 37 inches. It has a weight capacity of 3,000 pounds and a durable zinc plating that will provide corrosion resistance. This is the closest drop-leg model we have available to the dimensions you provided. Atwood was bought out and their parts have since been discontinued by the manufacturer....

  • Recommended Stabilizer Supports For Equipment Trailer That Lifts Back Of Truck Off The Ground
Dutton-Lainson does not give a separate holding capacity for their Pipe Mount Jack # DL22685. The Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack # FSJ1-SJ2 is one of the popular options for your type of situation. Each of these have a 3,000lb capacity so with one on each side that will likely be enough capacity for your Kubota M7060 Tractor since not all of the weight is going to be on just the stabilizers.

  • Weight Capacity of Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack # FSJ1-SJ2
The Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack with Mounting Channel # FSJ1-SJ2 referenced in your question features a 3,000 pound weight capacity for a single leg. Using 2 of the stabilizer jacks would give you a combined capacity of 6,000 pounds like you mentioned. This jack includes 1 stabilizer so you if you need a pair you will just need to order 2. I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.

  • Can Drop Down/Swing Down Stabilizer Jacks Be Used On a Dump Trailer
I do have an option for you but drop down/swing down stabilizer jacks like part # AR94FR aren't really designed for dump trailers, in order to properly support the weight of a dump trailer you will need to use drop leg jacks on the corners like the Fulton Drop-Leg Stabilizer Jack with Mounting Channel part # FSJ1-SJ2 which is what I recommend.

  • Recommended Support Jacks for Rear of Tandem Axle Dump Trailer
We have the perfect solution for you. I'd recommend using the Fulton weld-on drop leg stabilizer jack, part # FSJ1-SJ2. The jack is sold individually, but using two of them would provide 6000 lbs of support which would be plenty, as your trailer axles would also bear a portion of the weight of your C332 Track Loader. I've linked to a product video featuring the jack I recommended, and have provided a photo showing the jack installed on a dump trailer.
