Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Surface Mount Waterproof LED Porch or Deck Accent Light with the stainless steel cover. I wanna zoom in to show you up close. This is a nice low profile LED light that will produce bright white light for your RV's porch, or even your boat's deck. The light output on this is 540 lumens. Now, at the end of this video, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright the light is.

First, I wanna go through a few features on this. Now, they do use a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible, has an IP68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to about 30 minutes, and you can pop this light right out of the cover, just like that. It's a military grade construction of the circuit board, uses a urethane potting, which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting, and you see the six LEDs, they are premium LEDs, they are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant, they are rated for up to a 100,000 hours of operation. It is a clear lens you can see over six white LEDs. The cover, we mentioned it is a stainless steel cover, and it'll position the light vertically and create a nice finished look, so you see when your light clips into place here, you can see when you install this, it points the light going down, creates a nice finished look also of the light.

Now, this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems, it is a surface mount installation, it does include the foam gasket here that you install to help seal it. Now, the hardware to mount it is not included, you would have to supply that. You can see it has two wires here, it hard-wires to your application. The wire length on this is about nine inches, has a power wire and a ground wire. A few specs on this, the input voltage is 9 volts to 14 volts, power draw is 0.21 to 0.29 amps.

Give you a few dimensions, and then we'll hook it up. So the length from this end all the way to that end, it's gonna be right at 8 7/8 inches long, the height of it when it's mounted, it's gonna be 1 1/8 inches tall, and the total depth of it is gonna be right about 1 3/16 of an inch deep. The distance between the two mounting holes, center to center, right at eight inches. So what we're gonna do now is hook it up to some 12 volt power. Once we get it all hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on the power.

Once our power's on, you'd be able to see how bright those six LEDs are. I'm gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see how much light they give off, and as we mentioned, it's a nice white light. I'm actually even gonna zoom out just to show you from a distance how much light it does give off, and that's why they're recommended it for either a porch or a deck accent light. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Go ahead and turn off our power.
