I have used B&W hitches for many years and I've been very happy with the quality of their products. etrailer makes it easy to shop for these hitches since the B&W site is terrible. I was able to find the correct size and all dimensions were listed clearly. Thanks again!

by:

heavy solid fits thanks

by:

It is refreshing to still see American companies selling “Made in USA” quality these days.

by:

Really heavy duty solid steel 2 inch square, really thick steel tongue and and tight fitting hole for the ball bolt so little chance of ball rattle or slipping. Nice smooth welding and finish.

by:

Ball mount is awesome and super high quality and heavy duty over and above what I will need to tow my 7000 pound car trailer but I like it that way! Great job to everyone involved. My hat is off to the fabricators, made in USA Mount arrived without a nick, perfect weld marks and flawless show quality paint job. I may not even use it, it is that nice. Maybe put it in a display case and start a collection. Fast shipping, 2 days

by:

Great product would purchase again.

by:

Product is extremely heavy duty. much more than I will need, but I appreciate quality made is USA products. Etrailer packaging not so great. Box was torn by weight of this item, which caused a chip in the finish of the item.

by:

Solid shaft, weighty, but expecting a long life from it. I'll have to hunt around for someone who has the right tool for getting [torque specs] on the ball, but shouldn't be a big problem. Package tracking was excellent and on time.

by:

Made from solid bar stock. B&W Made in the USA can not go wrong. Thank you Stacy for helping me order this product.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1997 Ford F-250 With Deep Drop Bumper

Since in the picture you provided you measured about 5" from the bottom of the frame to the bottom of the bumper you will have plenty of clearance. Modification and/or relocation of the spare tire mounting bracket is going to be a possibility for any of the trailer hitches for your 1970 Ford F-100 styleside with standard bumper. The spare would have to be positioned further forward on the vehicle if it has to be moved at all. The only way to know for sure is to begin the installation process. There are no specific instructions if the spare does have to move. The most popular hitch option for your truck is # BWHDRH25122. I have included...

  • Can Curt Forged Ball Mount Be Flipped For More Height When Towing Car Trailer
I called my contact at Curt and they told me that you can use the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount, part # C45331 flipped over if you wish but you will probably have a heck of a time removing the ball. They said the ball is machine-torqued at 450 ft-lbs when it is attached to the drawbar. An option that may be easier on you would be to use a different ball mount and ball. The ball mount I recommend is part # BWBMHD30010. This ball mount has a 1 inch rise or 2 inch drop and a weight capacity...
