Today we'll be having a look at the eTrailer Repair Kit for eTrailer and Ram Channel Tongue Couplers for 2 Inch Ball, part number CT-3000-RK. Here's what our repair kit consists of. First off, we have our new latch assembly, which will draw our ball catch up to couple down onto our ball mounted onto our tow vehicle. This is what secures our trailer to our tow vehicle. We have a new spring, a new nut catch, a new nut, new washer, and another new spring. Now, the reason you want a repair kit is because if your coupler is welded onto your trailer or otherwise in decent shape, you only need to replace what's damaged.
These are the only moving parts that you have inside your coupler. It's all the internal components, so this will allow you to quickly and cheaply repair your coupler so you can get your trailer back on the road safely. Now, this coupler repair kit will work with Ram and eTrailer branded couplers for 2 inch balls. Now, for demonstration purposes we have a coupler here that's not attached to a trailer. That way we can easily manipulate it to show you how to install this repair kit. This repair kit, you only need one tool to install this.
You need a 3/4 inch socket on a ratchet. Start by unlatching our coupler here. We'll push down on our ball catch. Push down on the nut stop. Remove the nut.
We'll remove the stopper that stops our nut from spinning. We'll remove our small spring. We'll flip it back over here. We'll pull up on our handle assembly. Now we'll remove the rest of our hardware; ball latch, our larger spring, and then our washer. All right, now that we have our bare coupler housing here, we'll take our new latch assembly, insert it from the top, flip it over.
Take our new spring, we'll make sure the large side of it faces toward the top of the coupler. Take our new ball latch, slide it in around the pivot here. Then down onto where our stud comes in. Take our flat washer here with the flat side, we'll drop it on with the flat side facing towards where the ball goes. We'll drop on our spring. We'll drop on our new nut catch. Then we'll thread on our nut. Now we'll tighten the nut down. Now we'll test our operation. We may need to tighten this some more. Our handle latches smoothly. Our nut can't be backed off because it's sitting nice in the grooves of our nut catch, and our coupler has a nice tight grip, it'll grab onto a ball nicely. If we want to tighten up how tight the ball is inside here, we can run this nut down more. That completes our look at the eTrailer Repair Kit for eTrailer and Ram Channel Tongue Couplers for a 2 Inch Ball, part number CT-3000-RK.

IT fit perfectly into our old trailer that SOMEBODY ( I ain't naming names ) drove over and broke the old one. I thought about welding the old one but when I saw I could get a brand new one for like 9 $ plus shipping .. and here we are. Sorry about no videos or pics but I am way old school and will not own one of those pocket spy weapons or the apps they run !!! TRUST ME ... I AM NO ONE TRUST NO ONE

Didn't work for my trailer tongue repair, but was able to use one piece of it and lock washer to get the tounge repaired
I thought this would take a few minutes to install but I was wrong. Yours was a stronger quality than the one I had. I took the old one off and tried to put yours on but things weren't fitting right. I left the washer with bends in it off and it now fits. No instructions so I figured the washer was included in case it was needed.
Every thing went well from ordering to door step. Installation was easy.
