Complete Repair Kit for Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar Model 5250

I have 200,000 miles on this Roadmaster Falcon 5250 towing a 2000 Ford Explorer 4 down. I have replaced some bushings at about 100,000, and just did the rebuild with the above kit. Other than my paint job, the tow bar is like new again. Nice and tight at all connections.305286

Got here quick and everything fit as I knew it would. etrailer has got it together! The only thing I’d suggest is torque specs on those huge bolts. One probably can’t be too tight but the one that allows the arms to spread can be. It was so hard to break loose that I cranked down on it to tighten but then it was too tight to spread the arms. I had to loosen it up a bit.1177208

Flawlessly. Just what my old Roadmaster needed. I didn’t buy my motorhome to just look at it. Lots of miles in the last year and all of them towing a car.

Great etrailer service: received repair kit promptly and good communications.

I had an old and well used 5250 tow bar that wasn't locking up reliably, was hard to unlock and sloppy, so I needed the full repair kit (-55 vs. -50). The picture shows the extra parts you get in the full kit. Those few extra parts add about $xx.xx to the cost of the -50 kit, so decide if you need the full monty.

As to the full kit, the parts provided replaced all the wear points and fit fine. The instructions are adequate for any handy person who can grasp the operating concept. The large swivel bolts and nuts were very hard to remove with only basic hand tools available to me. I'm going to ding Roadmaster for vague instructions; e.g., "Remove the outer arm bushing." A little advice would have helped. Those bushings were glued in and I only got them out by using a thin blade screwdriver to chisel between the bushing and arm until the bushings were mostly destroyed. Another ding for cost/value of extra parts. But, having a better working tow bar for about $xx.xx is a lot less than cost of a new one. Four stars.595649

After a year of use, the tow bar is still working fine. I traded my car for one that had a Blue Ox baseplate. So I bought the Blue Ox adapters from etrailer for the Falcon towbar, and it continues to tow on very well.

Very pleased with the Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar repair kit. First tow bar arm took me a little longer than the second one. But they work like new after I installed all the repair components. Second item I have purchased from e-trailer and I am extremely happy with their products an instructions. Will definitely do business with them in the future.332769

Very happy with the quality of the tow bar repair kit!

Unfortunately the six 1-1/4" (large white washers) were not in the complete kit as described and seen in the photos by the manufacturer. All other parts were in the plastic package including the instructions. The clear package inside of the shipping package was a ziplock type bag so I could not tell if it was previously opened. Since my original washers were in satisfactory order and I had everything already apart, I did not bother to call and wait for new washers to be shipped. All my other items purchased from etrailer were excellent. I will not hesitate from ordering from them again.370976

I had to rebuild a Roadmaster falcon 5250 hitch. delivery was quick, had the parts in my hand with a repair manual. I rebuilt the hitch and was back on the road again. what was most intriguing was when they told me, after rebuilding the hitch to take a picture of send it to them for review I thought that was pretty cool. Because etrailer was then thinking about my safety. Which told me selling parts and equipment is not what they bare all about. for all your towing and trailer needs checkout etrailer.

I have a Roadmaster Falcon 5250 vehicle tow bar. The bushing came unseated.
Etrailer supplied the only rebuild kit on the market that I could find.
The parts in the kit should make my hitch like new. It came with everything, including very easy to read installation instructions. 295662

I have a VERY old falcon 5250 (serial # 3530). Installed this kit in about one hour. Hardest part wad getting the pin back thru the hole but with the use of a dowel rod and thin screw driver I was able to get them in place very quickly. Once the pin 's were in the rest was easy.336609

I was feeling a bit intimidated by the prospect of repairing the hitch. However, the video's made everything very clear. And the best part was not needing to spend $600 on a new one. It has not given us one second of trouble since the repair.316679

I finally got around to rebuilding my towbar. The kit included all of the parts I needed. The instructions that came with the parts were a little tricky to follow in places (some steps seemed to be out of order), but I was able to work through them and get the job done.171827

The kit was complete and arrived promptly. My only issue with the instructions would be they say to remove the bushings, not mentioning the bushing are glued in place and must be destroyed to remove them. I reversed the shaft and used it as a guide to help install the new bushings. Nice kit, good service.679156

Package arrived on time. All parts were included and after a couple readings of the instructions I rebuilt my 5250. Only problem was that mine is so old (12 years) that the included outside arm bushing would not fit. That's ok since the original was still in good shape.218225
