Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Replacement Manual Override Cap for Electric Jacks that are Ram or etrailer. This may seem like an insignificant part, but as this kind of is exposed to all the elements that your trailer will be including sun, cold, whatever it may be, this is just simply plastic, and if it gets brittle, these can potentially crack off and then you no longer have the cap. This cap does have a nice rubber gasket here that's gonna seal up as we tighten it down, and that's gonna make sure that water doesn't get into our jack and ruin any electronics or the screw portion of the jack assembly. So it may seem insignificant, but if your cap cracks and falls off, guess what Your jack is gonna be exposed to all those same elements. So this is a quick, easy way to prolong the lifespan of your jack.
This is a direct replacement, and it's just identical to the OM ones that come with the Ram or etrailer electric jacks. And it's nice, it's got these little grips here, so it's super easy to just cap on. It doesn't take a whole lot of pressure, and again, it's gonna work just the same as your previous cap. It's just gonna make sure that it's protected if your other one's damaged. And that was a look at a Replacement Cap for your Manual Override on your Electric Ram or etrailer Jack.

This definitely fits better than the cap it came with. I’m surprised it took me four years to need a replacement. It fits very snug and should not come off unless I take it off.

The dealer i bought my RAM power trailer jack from did not have the override cap i neededto replace the damaged one on my trailer jack so i looked on line and etrailer.com had exactly what i needed. i t fits perfectly to keep moisture out of the manual override space and is identical to the original. seemed pretty pricey @ $[XX]. but i needed it to seal up the jack. i f i need any other parts for my trailers, i will contact etrailer.com again.

I had lost the original cap for my electric trailer jack somewhere on the road while traveling, and was unable to located any manufacturer or model number on my Electric Jack, or any documentation I had, and wanted to protect the internal workings from the elements. The information on etrailer web site stated that the cab was used on many different brands of Electric trailer jacks, the detailed photos provided clear pictures of the product, and it had the footplate mine required to lock into place.
The Replacement cap fits and seals perfectly!

It’s kinda crazy that with shipping this cost just under $40, but that being said it fit perfectly and seems like it’ll keep out the water. If that’s the case then it’s money we’ll spent!

I am happy that I was able to order this part and a switch for a electric RV trailer jack on etrailer. I tried my RV dealer. All I got was a run around. I also tried the manufacturer. I still don't have their phone number. etrailer was helpful in picking out the right parts and shipping them to me at a reasonable amount. GREAT

I tried to find this replacement cap at several RV Dealers and RV supply stores in my local area with no luck. I looked on etrailer and the replacement cap was there. The cost was great so I went ahead and ordered the cap. It arrived a few days later and fit my RV perfectly. I would recommend etrailer for any RV replacement part you need. They have fair prices and awesome delivery times.

This cap seems like a poor design. It doesn't lock into place, it just relies on the friction of the rubber seal. Last time I was towing the trailer the cap worked its way loose and fell off somewhere.

I have a suggestion for you as the rubber style plug is obsolete when Ram switched to the new Cover # EJ-3520-BCV style which uses the Cap # EJ-3520-BCP you found.
