Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a real quick look at this Reese replacement crossmember head support. Now this is going to replace the crossmember head support that fits the Reese 16,000 pound fifth wheel trailer hitch. And on your screen, I am including our item number for that replacement head that this is going to fit. And as you can see here, the pivot pin and clip are included with this. It's going to be very easy to remove as you saw right there.
So there's our clip, and then here's our pin. So this is included. Go ahead and replace this real quick here Slide it in just like that, and close that clip and you're good to go. Now I saw that there were some questions on the Q&A on our product page regarding the overall width so let me go ahead and provide that for you. So as you can see, the overall width of the support, we're sitting right at 24 inches wide.
And this has a black powder coat finish that's going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. And so this support is exactly like the one that you are needing to replace. This is directly from Reese. So what that means for you is you can trust that it's going to fit right in place of your original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that.
So if you are needing to replace the crossmember head support for your Reese 16,000 pound fifth wheel trailer hitch, this is going to be exactly what you need. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Replacement crossmember fits Reese fifth-wheel 16,000-lb trailer hitches. The new crossmember fit my older 15k hitch nicely. This took out all the slop from the old worn one and pivot pin. It also narrows the hitch up to the 20.5" slots for more side clearance.
Product is a direct replacement and easy fix for my older version! [Which the pin hole was getting egg shaped ] Only difference it uses the narrower inside slots to mount onto the bed rails since it is not as wide as the original. I like that change though as it gives me more side room on both sides of the hitch! Great replacement item and Renee was extremely helpfull in finding the information needed and followed up with the order [since it was on backorder for awhile] she kept me posted on what was going on all the way until it was delivered! Thank you e trailer and Renee for the great service .
Our order was not in stock and had to be backordered. Etrailer was very good about following up on the backorder, keeping us informed about the status of our order and just being concerned about us getting the product as soon as possible. We finally received the part and it worked great!
I'm just glad I could get just this part as my pin area was worn after fifteen years of use. It saved me $$ by not having to buy a new hitch.
Comes with the pin, easy to install, impressed with the narrow width that allows for more bed space, seems just as strong as it's wider earlier model.
Never disappointed with an order from ETRAILER THANKS
Fit perfect and price was right! Shipping was quick, everything was as expected!

The product that I ordered is not the product that was received

Are the older wider cross members better, say for stability?
