Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the 2 1/4-inch long Torx head floor screws for a quantity of 40. Now these Torx flathead screws will make securing your wood floor to your trailer very quick, easy, and economical. The tapered flathead portion will set flush with the surface, and this is a 1/4-inch diameter screw. Has a type F point on it, which is used for heavy-gauge sheet metal, aluminum, cast iron, zinc, and even the new ACQ-treated wood. The Type F point is a self-tapping screw, has a blunt tip with multiple cutting surfaces.
Now the size on this Torx, it does require a Torx bit size of TRX 30. We do sell that bit separately on our website. It's part number TX430-1 and it's listed on this product page as a related product. Again, the diameter on this is 1/4 of an inch. The length, overall length from one end to the other is right at 2 1/4 inches long.
It is 21 threads per inch. We mentioned the Type F point on it, and it does require a 7/32 diameter pilot hole for these to be installed. And as we mentioned, this part number will include 40. But that should do it for the review on the 2 1/4-inch long Torx head floor screws.

Worked as advertised. Replaced the boards on our 5x8 trailer with no problems. Self-tappers bit right into their pilot holes and had no issues, hang-ups or broken screws.
I received the 5th tire last night that did not come with original order.

They are exactly what I needed. It helps to get the parts that are made for the job and not having to get something that works but not quite right.
I have deck screws from you before and they were great , I just reordered some longer one's as I ordered 2 1/4 and should have ordered 2 1/2 " , but you guys made it very easy to do.

No issues with the bolts, however, if you are using rough cut lumber I would get 2 1/2.
