Longer Wheel Stubs to Fit a Shorlander Boat Trailer Hub and Aluminum Wheels
Question:
I am in the process of changing from steel to aluminum wheels on my shorelandr boat trailer. Model number srv1724 1999. I believe the hub and bearing kit to be model ss734. I put the new aluminum wheel on and tightened the original nut down and there was only approx one thread exposed. So I will need longer studs and new aluminum wheel style lug nuts.I believe the original studs to be 1/2inch x 2 1/4inch long. Can you tell me what studs and lugs would work well for my new aluminum wheels? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The longest 1/2 inch drive-in studs that we have are # RG03-080 which is a set of 4 and they are 2-3/4 inches long. For a longer lug nut that is 1/2"-20 threaded you can use # AM90070.
If the studs are not long enough or don't have the right dimensions where they fit in the hub (see specs on product page) you might have to go through Shorlandr.
