Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the foam block for the Malone stacker style kayak carriers. This replaces a damaged block for the Malone Stax Pro kayak carrier. You can purchase this product in multiples, to create your very own setup. The unit does feature universal bottom cutouts. These are designed to fit round, square, oval, arrow, and elliptical crossbars. They simply provide the area for the crossbar to fit in between.
The full length slit on the bottom allows you to separate the block a little bit. That way you can easily fit it over your crossbar.Then right here on top, we have a nice, large curve, that's designed to fit most kayaks. When it comes to the construction of the block, it's constructed from a EVA, closed cell foam construction. Few dimensions to go over with you real quick. Starting with the overall length, measuring edge to edge, measures 8 inches long.
Overall width, measures about 4 inches wide. Overall height here, at the edge, about 3 1/4 inches. And then here at the center, you can see that measures about 2 1/2 inches tall. With this part number you get one block, and the unit is made in the USA. That's gonna do it for today's look at the foam block for the Malone stacker style kayak carriers..

Sometimes the kayaks slip during loading/unloading depending on where I'm parked/wind/etc. These blocks are perfect for preventing this issue. Love e-trailer's videos and customer input. Thanks!

Received our 8" kayak blocks in good time with economy shipping. Product was exactly as described, fits our CR-V factory roof racks perfectly. I would definitely use eTrailer again. I also like their videos.
Product is great and fits awesome on manufacturers rails but does not fit snugly on the Thule aeroblade that is on my other vehicle. This will work on the aeroblade just flexes our on the bottom which may cause the foam to rip apart over the lifespan of the product.
