Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima HD Track Adapter Kit. This kit is gonna feature four of these utility track adopters that will allow you to install a Yakima Truckbed Ladder Rack System on your Yakima HD tracks. This will work with your Overhaul HD and your Outpost HD Racks. Those are both sold separately. This is just going to be the adapter kit that will allow you to get those installed on your HD tracks.
This will allow you to maintain the maximum load capacity for both the Overhaul HD and the Outpost HD system. They do include instructions to help you get everything installed, as well as all the hardware that you're gonna need for a very simple installation to make sure that your ladder rack system is going to install properly on your Yakima HD Tracks. This kit is great, it makes putting on and taking off rack on my tonneau cover easy. Except the quality control was lacking when making the slide in bolts, they are different thicknesses so there are 2 that hardly slide which slows things down quite a bit. I use them as the last ones in so they don't have to go as far. If it wasn't for this QC issue this kit would have received 5 stars.
This product is way over-priced. It is not etrailer's fault. It is Yakima.
You get t-bolts, nuts, washers, and some optional rubber that you have to cut to fit your setup. Value is maybe $XX but you pay $XXX.
Etrailer service was great. The Yakima bed kit is for sure way overpriced from Yakima. Needed it to mount Overhaul HD on Diamondback hard tonneau.
Fast service and delivery. Couldn’t be more pleased.
