Today we're going to be taking a look at the Malone foam spacer block for stand-up paddleboards and surfboards. This unit can be used to replace a damaged spacer for kit part number MPG171. You can also get multiple of these spacers to create your very own set up. The cut-out here on the top is designed to fit and protect tie-down straps. That's going to measure 1 and 1/8 of an inch wide so it's perfect for one inch wide tie-down straps. When it comes to the construction, it's an EBA closed cell foam construction and the extra long length provides maximum protection when stacking your stand-up paddleboards or surfboards. So if you install your stand-up paddleboard on to the roof-rack of your vehicle or however it is that you're choosing to haul it, this is really neat because it allows you stack them, which means you can save space. So you place this directly on to of your stand-up paddleboard, and then run your strap over that paddleboard or surfboard in order to secure it like you normally would.

Then you can stack another paddleboard or surfboard on top of the spacers. Now, we do recommend that at least two blocks are used in order to stack boards safely and securely. It's also going to protect your boards the best way possible. One at the front and then one spacer at the back of the board. When it comes to dimensions of this unit, it's going to give us an overall length measurement of about 22 inches long. Overall width, measuring edge-to-edge this direction, it's going to measure about 4 and 5/8 of an inch wide, overall height, that's going to give us a measurement of about 1 and 5/8 of an inch tall.
