Video Transcript for Rhino-Rack Crossbar Pads Review
Today, we'll be taking at the Rhino-Rack cross bar pads. Available for aero cross bars; part number RWP01, and for square bars; part number RRRWP02. These soft foam pads are going to let you transport surfboards, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, or other gear on your aero bars. The flat top provides the perfect resting spot for your gear. They're constructed out of an EVA polymer. They're going to protect your bars and your gear. They're a very easy installation.
After stretching them out over the bar, they reform back to their original shape to tighten up around the bar. These 15 inch pads can be positioned anywhere along your cross bars. They're an economical solution for putting gear on the roof of your vehicle. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. We can position these anywhere we want on our cross bars. It's very easy. We've already got one installed here.
Let's go ahead and do the front one. I'm just going to spread it apart on bottom and work my way until it's all the way clipped on, like so. With both of those pads installed, we can go ahead and load up our gear. For surf boards and paddle boards, you want to be sure and load them up with the fin pointing up. Go ahead and get that centered up there. With our surf board in place, we can go ahead and take some Rhino-Rack straps and strap it down.
These are sold separately with part number RRRTD35P. Now we're all set. That's going to complete our look at the Rhino-Rack cross bar pads.

Very efficient site. My order was ready for shipping 1 hour after I placed it, and I ordered at 6:30 am my time! The pads fit my RAV4 cross bars and my kayak loads on top of them easily. I have a bit of wind noise from my cross bars when they aren’t loaded but leaving a pad on the front bar eliminates it altogether. So a great, easy and inexpensive solution for transporting my kayak and I kayak at least 5 days a week.

Nice thick resilient pads to protect the gunwales of my racing shell. Stiff to install, but they return to shape after a while and grip the aero bars really tightly. Firm padding so although they protect the gunwales they don’t compress too far to create problems tightening the hold down straps.

These pads are compatible with aero style elliptical profile crossbars that are up to 3-1/8 inches wide and 1-3/16 inches tall.
