Video Transcript for Lets Go Aero Hitch Locks ACC3250 Review

Today we're going to review part number ACC3250. This is the Lets Go Aero snap on padlock for the 5/8" anti-rattle silent hitch pin. When this is used with the Let's Go Aero 5/8" anti-rattle silent hitch pin, this padlock will provide the security for your hitch mounted accessory. This will turn that regular hitch pin into a hitch lock, and again it is designed to be used with the 5/8" anti-rattle hitch pin we sell separately on our website, it's part number SHP2061, and it is listed on this product page as a related product. It is a Snap-on lock, so it's very easy to use, and the two keys do come with it. Just to give you an example, I already have the .. Here's an example of the 5/8" Let's Go Aero anti-rattle silent hitch pin installed in a hitch already.

Then they usually just use a clip, this tightens down to keep it from moving around, and then they just put a clip on it. What this padlock would do is you could just take your clip off of there, and then take your padlock with the hole, and just go ahead and push it on. Once you push it on it's locked in, and then that way nobody can just unscrew that and take it off. To remove it just put your key into the lock, turn it a quarter of a turn, and the padlock comes right off, then you'll be able to unscrew this out. If you go to lock it again, you just take the key out, you don't need the key in it, push it all the way on and it's locked into place, simple as that. That should do it for the review on part number ACC3250.

Very pleased with initial look and install. Very little to assemble. Looks sturdy. With the two hitch pin locks we bought separately($16 each) we feel our gear will be pretty safe and our box won't likely be stolen from our hitch. The lights all worked. Nice to have the license plate bracket and lights all legal and ready to go. Just plug in! Use a rubber hammer to punch in the reflectors so you don't damage them, but they do go in all the way flush. Fits like it was made for our camper van (Coachmen Beyond on a 2019 350 HD Ford Transit HD Passenger Van). Our back doors opened fully as you can see in the pics with no adjustment needed. There is a little more room for adjustment IF needed according to directions but we didn't need to do anything. We installed the shank that goes into the receiver first and then my husband and I were able to easily lift the box portion and line up the two bars onto the hitch. It seems you would want to install/detach in two steps each time so it is lighter, but I suppose lifting it in and out all assembled and pushing it into or out of the receiver in one piece is ok too, but we didn't try that. We were please to see both of our folding bikes fit in the box with room to spare. We were glad we did not buy the smaller Gear Box that had to be assembled and with less storage space. I see you can purchase replacement reflectors and locks, but I do not see a parts list for anything else that might break like the rubber straps that hold the sides together, replacement lights or the metal bars inside that move for example. Perhaps the manufacturer LetsGoAero has more parts if needed, but they are not exploded and shown in the Product Manual and they were closed today to check. When spending 3,000 on a cargo box you want to be able to replace all parts that might break. Something to check out if it a concern to you.

Still working great and holding up fine

by:

Extremely fast shipping and the lock works for the application.

by:

Does the job of securing the anti-rattle hitch pin. Kinda ironic that it fits loosely on the pin and rattles around a bit

Stays installed, no issues, glad I bought it.

by:

Good product
However a second one which
was suggested for my gear box won't fit between the hitch and the wiring assembly on my MB sprinter 3500.
I never realised it would be a problem but the lock extends the hitch pin by 2+ inches. I have a spare one for my terminal garage sale!!

by:

Excellent way to secure my bike rack. Snaps onto the hitch pin and securely locks the rack onto the car. Also easy to unlock for removal.

by:

A bit difficult to find what lock went with my bike rack. The lock works great once I figured out what I needed. Needs to be clearer on the bike rack page since it is just the one lock that works.

by:

I haven't had a chance to use it yet bet it seems really well built and will work perfect for my needs. I'll try to post again after I use it.

by:

I bought 2 of these and they work great. Slide right on to lock the hitch pin. Best part is that they are keyed the same so that is a plus. Not sure if it worked out by chance or standard if you order 2 but not complaining.

by:

Perfect solution to locking my bike trailer with an anti-rattle screw pin that otherwise can't be locked.

by:

Exceptionally fast delivery of a good quality product. Easy to assemble. Can't wait for the warmer weather to actually put the rack to use.

After a year I have no complaints. Used the rack on a 3000 mile trip over the summer withouf a problem. We are happy that we can bring along the bikes as an added bonus to the trips

by:

Works great we use it all the time. We feel better know the bike rack is locked.

by:

As advertised, the anti-rattle hitch pin works great.

by:

Great bike rack! Heavy duty! Easily assembled! Great lock assembly!

Fast Shipping

Very happy with the product!
Thanks

by:

Works ecactly as described. Very impressed with shipping and handling. Speedy delivery. I would recommend etrailer to all that visit this site.

by:

Super sturdy, heavy duty, has worked great. I liked the one piece design, a good purchase that I'm very happy with after a year. Have used it about 20 times.

by:

The lock works smoothly, and I'm initially pleased with the product. It could be improved by the addition of a cap over the key hole. Corrosion resistance remains to be determined.

by:

Good lock works well with the no-rattle hitch pin.

by:

Works great for what it's supposed to do. Ordered 2 but wasn't able to get them keyed alike as requested.

by:

I've had this product for over a year and it's working just as good. It is holding up well against the weather too -- great product at a great price!

AWESOME LOCK! I have had this lock for over a year now and I am beyond pleased. I used to lock my bike rack and not only has it maintained its quality, it still looks good. No rust!! It is a must have to secure the hitch pin.

by:

Works perfectly, and is solid and heavy duty. Came quickly, like the other products I ordered. I am totally sold out to etrailer and its exemplary customer service. A great company, and one I will order from repeatedly.

by:

Does the job. E Trailer very helpful, as always.

by:

Worthless. Did not fit the product intended.

  • Can Locks Be Added To A BAKFlip Tonneau Cover
Hey Rob, There unfortunately isn't an add-on lock for BAKFlip tonneau covers so the only way you'd be able to prevent someone from getting into the bed of your truck would be to close the cover and lock the tailgate. We do offer tailgate locks from Pop & Lock that you can install to automatically lock the tailgate with your key fob. If you're interested then I'd need to know the year/make/model of your truck.

Since you are concerned about security I recommend getting the 10' Long Cable Lock # e98891 to use in case you are ever needing to take your bike(s) with you as well. This will also help to deter theft of your equipment.

  • Will the GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # HGK826 be Too Wide for a 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon
If the GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # HGK826 is just slightly wider than your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon you should be just fine. Something this big would cause some extra wind resistance which may affect fuel economy a little, but the only time you will need to be concerned is if the carrier were to be significantly wider. If it were to extend past the width of your vehicle's mirrors then that would definitely cause problems. I did look up the width of your Outback Wagon and found...

This is the Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for 2" Trailer Hitches # SHP2061. We do not offer SHP359 but it is a similar design. You are correct the main difference between the two is that # SHP2061 includes the pin sleeve that helps reduce the space between the pin and hitch pin hole. This Anti-Rattle device will take out a majority of the movement in your hitch mounted accessory. We do not offer a lock that will work with the 5/8 anti-rattle bolt that came with your Pro Series Q-Slot Platform-Style 2 Bike and 4 Bike Rack. Since the bike rack shank has proprietary threads, a standard non-threaded hitch pin like part # SHP2061 and # ACC3250 lock will not work. I recommend using a cable lock like part # e98891. You would just route the cable through the bike frames and then thread the cable through the safety chain loops on your trailer hitch.
