Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement front wheel holder for the Thule T2 Pro platform bike racks. Now, this part here will replace one front wheel holder on your Thule T2 Pro platform bike rack. It is designed to fit the Thule part numbers TH9034, TH9035, and the TH9036 models. Those we do sell separately on our website.
You can see this is a nice, deep wheel cradle, which will accommodate fat bike tires up to five inches in width. Now, this cradle is designed to bolt to the spar tube assembly of the Thule bike rack. Now, the screws or the mounting hardware to install this is not included. You can use your hardware that you already have or we do sell the hardware separately on our website and it's listed on this product page as related product. THe rack has served well, under use that often involves two bikes close to max total load. Have adjusted cradles straps for a fat tire back, all good. I live in NYC and one issue has arisen as the city is now strictly enforcing local law against obstructed license plates. WIth the rack empty and in the up position i got ticketed while parked, which seemed extreme, because from most angles it doesnt obscure the view on my SUV with the plate on the hatch door. I now have the Thule plate holder, but you still have to move it around depending on whether the rack is up or down when seeing the plate on the hatch door would be an issue. Would be great to have one that securely attaches somewhere highly visible regardless of the rack position or the presence of bikes on it.
