Is GearDeck 17 Cargo Carrier Easy to Put Together
Question:
Is the gear deck fairly easy to put together? I had the Thule combi and it was pretty easy, but did not have the holes in the bottom so it was sent back. I have been looking at other carriers but concerned they could be swiped fairly easily. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # H00604 does have a fair number of parts to put together. That said, it would not be considered difficult to assemble in my opinion because you're really only working with some bolts, screws, washers and nuts. I've linked the installation instructions for you to check out so you can get a better idea of the assembly.
I highly recommend going with the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # H00604 because it is going to give you the security you are looking for. The GearDeck locks its cargo by adding a padlock, the Master Lock Covered, Solid Body Padlock # 131D and locks to your hitch by adding the Snap-On Lock for 5/8" Anti-Rattle Silent Hitch Pin # ACC3250.
I've added links to video review of this carrier for you to take a look at.
