How to Secure the Swagman Trailhead Part # S63381
Question:
I am considering purchasing the Swagman Trailhead for my 2018 R-pod travel trailer. I may also purchase the snap on lock # ACC3250. What would you suggest I use to lock the bikes onto the rack. I see one reviewer suggested using a cable lock and stringing it through the chain loops, but the receiver on the back of my travel trailer does not have these loops. Also I see that the rack itself disassembles by removing the pins. Thank you

I do have ways for you to secure the Swagman Trailhead # S63381 to the back of your R-Pod trailer but none of them will be completely foolproof as any thief that is determined enough could get to your bikes and the rack with the right tools. However, the mere presence of a lock is enough to stop most thieves and should give you peace of mind.
In addition to the Snap-On Lock part # ACC3250, I also recommend using a cable lock and wrapping it around the bikes and then around the receiver tube on your trailer hitch since you mentioned that you do not have the safety chain loops. For this the 10' Cable Lock part # e98891 should give you enough length to lock the bikes together and then wrap around the receiver tube.
