Today we're going to be taking a look at part number DM66736. This is the Demco 4-Hole Adjustable Channel Bracket. This channel bracket has 3 different mounting positions for your ball coupler, lunette ring or clevis on your trailer. Position 1, position 2, and position 3. This is designed to be a weld-on installation. It's going to feature a raw steel finish so it's going to require a less prep work when you're ready for your installation. It's made from sturdy half inch solid steel construction.
Has a weight capacity of 21,000 pounds. If you take a measurement of the overall height, it's going to give us a measurement of about 8 inches. The channel width inside edge to inside edge, it's going to give us a measurement of about 3 inches and in the whole spacing measuring center on center, distance between 2 holes. It's going to measure right on 2 inches and that's going to be the same for each set. Now the whole diameters are going to measure just over 5-8/7 inch so it is designed to accept and be used with 5/8 inch diameter bolts. Hardware is not included when you're ready to mount like your accessories, so you will need to purchase that separately to get your ball coupler, your lunette ring or your clevis attached to the channel bracket. I do have a lunette ring here today just to show you it would work inside of a channel bracket.
Simply just slides in and then you can adjust it as needed. One of the great things about a channel bracket is it's going to allow you to adjust the height of your coupler, your lunette ring or your clevis, so you can adjust it to fit your application and then once you get it to the height that you need, all you have to do is insert that hardware and again that is going to be sold separately. I was notified that this part was a good replacement for the part I ordered and could ship immediately. Part fit well. Extra heavy duty. Made installation easy. Minimum warping from welding in place.
Plenty rugged and just as described. My only complaint is that it was very dirty on arrival. Everything in the box with it was covered also.
Bends are a bit tight, did not work with coupler without some massaging with a grinder.
