Video Transcript for Pro Series Adjustable Trailer Coupler PS024202 Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the pro-series mounting bolts for adjustable channel couplers. The kit's going to come with two bolts and two nylon lock nuts. This kit's designed for use with adjustable channel couplers, so it's going to mount the coupler to the channel bracket. The bolts are going to give us an overall length measurement from edge to edge of about five and three-eighths of an inch. From the bottom of the bolt head to the very end of the bolt is about five inches long. From the bottom of the bolt head to the first thread right here measures about three and one-quarter inches.

Just the threaded portion, that's going to give us a measurement of about one and 11/16 of an inch. Then the diameter of each bolt is five-eighths of an inch. The bolt head, as well as the nut, those measure 15/16 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the pro-series mounting bolts for adjustable channel couplers.

These bolts fits perfect to the Titan 20,000 lb coupler I bought in same shipment, fits with my Wasco triple axle trailer instead of the disc brake actuator coupler (broken) as I never are on the road with trailer, so I saved $350.-
Fast shipping even the free shipping that I chose, I got my order 3 workday after I ordered.
Will recommend y'all to shop a this dealer. Two thumbs up!

  • Does the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler Come with Installation Bolts
The Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13203-52 does not come with the bolts required for installation but they can be sourced from your local hardware store or you can use the Pro Series # PS024202. If you do source them locally, the holes are 5/8" diameter and you'll want to use Grade 5 bolts for this application.

  • Bolt Recommendation for the Bulldog Lunette Ring # BD1291010383
Bolts are not included with the Lunette ring part # BD1291010383 that you referenced. For that you would want the part # PS024202. For a channel you would also want the # BDAC5000300.

  • Bolt Dimensions for Pro Series Coupler # PSA200S0303
The bolts that come with the Pro Series Coupler part # PSA200S0303 are the part # PS024202 which are 5 inches long and 5/8 inch diameter.

  • Channel Mount Trailer Coupler for 3 Inch Wide Channel
There is pretty much a standard for channel mount couplers such as # DM12113-95. The channel width is usually 3 inches and the couplers are usually around 2-7/8 inches wide to fit in the 3 inch wide channel. Once torqued down there is no side to side movement because the coupler essentially is clamped in. Holes are usually spaced 2 inches apart on center which is the vertical hole spacing in a channel this coupler would work with. But it never hurts to measure just to be sure. For mounting...

  • How to Lock Demco 21K Adjustable Channel Trailer Coupler
The Demco Adjustable Channel Trailer Couplers like the 21K # DM14040-81 use 5/8" diameter bolts for attachment to the adjustable channel, so you could potentially replace them with 5/8" locking pins like etrailer.com # e98881. Please keep in mind though that Demco does state that the standard Grade 5 mounting bolts # PS024202 do need to be used to achieve/maintain the coupler's 21,000 pound weight capacity. With this in mind I don't recommend doing this, as this could potentially lower...

  • Bolt Hole Size Spacing, and Channel Metal Thickness for Demco 21K Trailer Coupler
First, the thickness of the metal channel that the Demco trailer coupler # DM14040-52 is going to bolt onto will be 1/4 inch to 3/8 of an inch thick. Or you could split the difference and say 5/16 inches. As far as the size channel, it is designed for a 3 inch wide channel such as # DM59602 which would be welded to the trailer. The holes are spaced 2 inches apart on center. The bolt holes are slightly larger than 5/8 inch diameter for use with 5/8 inch bolts, # PS024202.

  • Channel Bracket and Mounting Hardware Recommendation for the Demco 2-Tang Clevis # DM05593-97
For a channel bracket to go along with the Demco 2-Tang Clevis # DM05593-97 that you referenced you would want the Demco 6-Hole Adjustable Channel Bracket # DM59601. This bracket gets welded on, for the hardware to secure the # DM05593-97 to the # DM59601 you would want the Pro Series Mounting Bolts for Adjustable-Channel Couplers # PS024202.

  • Can The Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Coupler # DM15349-52 Be Mounted On a Lets Go Aero Trailer?
I reached out to Lets Go Aero for confirmation that you can even use the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Coupler # DM15349-52 and they said that you will not have any structural issues with having the bolt holes drilled in the sides of your Frame as the Demco will require. Since the holes in the new coupler will not line up centered on your frame rails you will need to pad out the top of the frame 1/2" with some additional steel to center the bolt holes in the tube. You will need the Demco Trailer...

  • Best Way To Convert A 2" Ball Coupler To A Lunette Ring
Hey Carlos we do have a good solution for converting the 2" ball coupler on your trailer to a lunette ring. What I recommend is the Demco 5-Position Adjustable Channel Bracket # DM13867-52. This can be bolted to a 3" wide trailer tongue and will give you the 3" wide channel that you are looking for. You can use that with a Lunette Ring like part # DM09557-81. You will also need some grade 5 or higher bolts such as # PS024202 to bolt the ring to the channel, as well as hardware for bolting...

  • Can an A-Frame Coupler be Removed and a Flat Plate or Channel Coupler Installed in its Place
Your plan could definitely work but what I would do is weld on a channel, such as # DM59601, and using a coupler such as # DM12688-95 for a 2 inch ball or # DM07678-95 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. And of course, some hardware, # PS024202, to mount the coupler to the channel. This type of set up was designed to take off/move the coupler more so than a flat mount. Like you said there is a lot of welding that will need to be done especially to reach the capacity needed. It sounds like you have...

  • Which Ball Mounts/Accessories Fit Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator with Adjustable Channel
The bracket on the end of Demco actuator # DM8759933 is 3 inches wide so you would need to look at accessories that mount to a 3 inch wide or 2-7/8 inch wide opening such as Pro Series coupler # PSA200S0303 or Bulldog coupler # BDA200C0317. These are rated for 8,000 pounds to match the Demco actuator. I have also included a link to all of the channel mount couplers you could use. You can also use lunette ring # DM09557-95, 2-tang clevis # DM05593-97, and pintle/ball hitch # C45920 which...
